BBC Strictly’s Angela Scanlon’s life off screen with businessman husband and kids

Angela Scanlon is set to compete in this year's Strictly Come Dancing alongside the likes of Bobby Brazier and Zara McDermott.

The Your Garden Made Perfect and The One Show presenter, 39, is a familiar face on our screens after starting her successful career as a stylist and a journalist, before moving into television.

But when she's not on our screens, the Irish presenter can be found at home with her beautiful family.

Here we take a look at Angela's family life as she takes to the Strictly dancefloor…

Who is Angela Scanlon's husband?

Angela has been married to Roy Horgan since 2014 and they have two daughters. They reside in North London.

Roy Horgan is from County Cork, Ireland. His career began in corporate banking.

Roy is currently the CEO of SES-imagotag plc for the UK & Ireland.

The couple tied the knot in a stunning Wicklow outdoor wedding nine years ago and regularly post snaps celebrating their marriage on their anniversary.

On their four-year anniversary, the presenter shared an adorable picture of them together, writing : "Four years ago today, I married this absolute nugget of a human under a tree with all our favourite people heckling.

"The kindest, smartest, most stubborn man I know. The yin to my yang. The steak to my tofu (or something)… My [world emoji]."

Do Angela and Roy have children?

The couple have two children, Ruby Ellen and Marnie Fae.

Ruby Ellen was born February 25 2018 whilst Marnie Fae was born February 11 2022.

Angela posted a photo of newborn Marnie on Instagram writing:

"Marnie Fae Horgan 11.2.22 Chapped lips & chapped nips can only mean one thing… our little woman has arrived!! We are besotted x".

The couple had announced their second pregnancy in October 2021 on Instagram with Angela writing.

"SO, this is happening!! I'm pregnant & apparently already prepping for actual labour. Baby Horgan The Second (official title) arrives next spring.

"Feeling very lucky & excited & also nervous about jumping on a trampoline (forever)."
