Best Glastonbury looks over the years from Alexa Chung’s slip to Rita Ora’s cow dungarees

Glastonbury Festival is back for the first time since Covid forced organisers to close the event in 2020 and 2021.

With thousands of festival goers descending on Worthy Farm to soak up what is expected to be a stellar year of the festival, the fashionistas will be out in full force.

The first Glastonbury Festival took place in 1970 and in recent years its been a place for attendees to showcase their best – and at times – boldest fashion looks. With that in mind, we took a look back at some of the best looks from the festival over the years…

Adele

In 2015 Adele visited Glastonbury wearing a brown and black top featuring plenty of dangles which she paired with black leggings.

She donned black boots and kept to the colour scheme with brown sunglasses and a maroon handbag.

Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung is perhaps the queen of understated dressing and her outfit in 2014 was no exception.

The model donned a silver slip dress and gave it a very Glastonbury spin with short Hunter wellies and a Barbour jacket with a cardigan tied around her waist.

Cara Delevingne

The name Cara Delevingne and Glastonbury fashion go hand in hand.

The model and actress showed off her buzzcut on the field as she donned a casual chic outfit back in 2017.

Cara wore a pair of Olivia von Halle cashmere trackies and a cherry-print sweatshirt, rain jacket and booties.

Dolly Parton

In 2014 everyone’s favourite country star performed at Glastonbury.

Dolly Parton looked sensational with her trademark beehive hairstyle.

She slipped into a white shirt complete with rhinestone vest and matching trousers.

Emma Watson

In 2010 Emma Watson wore an outfit to Glastonbury that wouldn’t be out of place even today.

The actress teamed a corset and knee-high boots with denim shorts and a very chic side braid.

She slung a large black beaded bag over one shoulder while clutching her camera as she soaked up the atmosphere.

Florence Welch

Florence Welch often works the stage as well as the field and her fashion is a key example in how to excel at both.

The singer’s white maxi dress with ruffles in 2010 was teamed with a pair of brown suede boots and plenty of gold jewellery.

Kate Moss

In 2005 Kate Moss took a trip to Glastonbury showcasing perhaps one of her best looks.

Being a model, Kate always knows how to put her best fashion foot forward but her gold dress ensemble looked the part.

She paired the number with a black belt and in true Glastonbury fashion donned a pair of wellies to slog through the mud.

Margot Robbie

She may be playing Barbie now, but Margot Robbie has always had an eye for the fashion.

In 2017 she kept it casual and comfy with an oversized jumper with Mickey Mouse on the front.

She completed the look with black leggings and those all important wellies while donning a pair of aviator sunglasses.

Miley Cyrus

In 2019 Miley Cyrus performed at Glastonbury and certainly left her mark.

The singer showed off her svelte figure in a white crop top and fitted leather trousers with knee high boots that buckled up to the knee.

She donned plenty of jewellery in both silver and gold plus a chain Chanel belt and matching necklace.

Rita Ora

Rita Ora’s outfit in 2014 was certainly memorable.

The star paired a pair of cow print dungarees with white cowboy fringe boots.

The look was teamed with a red suede handbag and Rita completed the ensemble with a clear raincoat.
