Brit Awards 2023 red carpet looks – from bare baby bumps to outrageous outfits

The Brit Awards 2023 saw the fashion rule book ripped up and thrown away.

It seems that after the pandemic, stars are pulling out all the stops to make up for the looks that were lost over the lockdown years.

One fashion highlight of the night was Jessie J baring her baby bump on the red carpet hours after revealing that she is expecting a baby boy.

The 34 year old Price Tag singer looked phenomenal as she rocked a red jumpsuit which featured a large cut-out at the midsection, so her blossoming baby bump was bared to the world.

Jessie also donned an extravagant red jacket which she wore around her elbows, while she opted to forgo comfort in favour of style in towering red stilettos.

The star wore her dark hair slicked back from her face in a low bun, while she rocked a bronzed makeup palette, chunky earrings and red gloves to complete the look.

But Jessie wasn't the only star to bare her blossoming baby bump. Grammy award-winning singer Kamille and Love Island star Montana Brown also sported the look, making us wonder if it's the next big trend.

Montana, 27, who is halfway through her pregnancy, wore a black floor-length gown with a thigh-high split and large cut-out, showing off her stomach.

Meanwhile, Kamille was a vision in teal satin two-piece. The top featured a hood and long sleeved gloves, while the ruched skirt flattered her adorable bump.

Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock graced the red carpet in a very daring burnt orange gown, featuring a deep plunge.

The gown itself is the creation of Italian designer Alberta Ferretti. It featured on the spring/summer 2023 runway, so it really is hot off the press.

The model wore the dress with a hood that hung gracefully off the back of her head, but it seems Leigh-Anne wasn’t so keen on that design feature. Perhaps the hood would have detracted too much from her incredible hairstyle, which seemed to take inspiration from out of space.

About Damn Time hitmaker Lizzo, 34, stepped out in a masterpiece created by Robert Wun, a Hong Kong-born designer with a London-based studio.

The dress featured some eye-catching ruffle detailing that cascades down from Lizzo's neckline all the way to the ground.

Considering Robert Wun is known for creating "futuristic" designs for the likes of Lady Gaga and Doja Cat – and, in fact, Cardi B's get-up for her “Money” music video – the label is an on-brand choice for the singer.

Another fashionista that got chins wagging was Sam Smith.

The Unholy singer rocked up to the Brit Awards wearing, what looked like, an inflatable latex jumpsuit. The suit was form-fitting around their chest, while the arms and legs of the design featured large air bubbles.
