Brits abroad are using these outrageous DIY sex toys on holiday

Sun, sea, sand and sex are some of the best things about that summer getaway.

And recent research shows that Brits aren’t just taking our clothes off to take a dip in the pool.

A healthy 40% of us feel hornier on holiday than we do on any other average day of the week.

Maybe it’s the smell of SPF and a spicy beach read that gets us going.

But, despite Brits being far more frisky in their hotel rooms, almost three quarters (72%) of us have never packed a sex toy in our suitcase and flown it with us for some fun.

The main reasons for this were the fear of the sex toy being found in security checks – which was stressing out a whopping 25% of us, according to research by sexual wellness brand LELO – as well as being worried it’ll go off in our luggage.

Nearly 10% claimed they simply didn’t have enough space but, unless you’re packing an alarmingly large implement, we’re pretty sure there’s always room for something so satisfying.

But, it seems Brits jetting off without their props are getting…creative.

In fact, one in 10 of us have used a makeshift sex toy while on holiday and it’s making us think twice about some of the items left in our hotel rooms.

About 20% of those surveyed said they have used a vegetable as a makeshift sex toy, while 17% have used a shampoo bottle (FYI: that’s not recommended by medical professionals!).

If you’ve got an Airbnb on holiday maybe rinse your utensils thoroughly before use, because 16% of Brits have used a wooden spoon in the bedroom.

We’re hoping people are partaking in a little consensual spanking rather than inserting it anywhere untoward. We do not recommend it either way because… splinters!
