We previously reported how thousands of Brits could land direct payments of £400 in their bank accounts.
The help comes through the Household Support Fund which is worth £824million.
It is provided by the government which distributes money among councils in England.
The type of support varies as some local authorities are offering food or utility bill vouchers.
While other parts of England are making bank transfers.
For example, residents in Birmingham are getting up to £200 one-off payments.
Birmingham Council is distributing the cash to anyone experiencing financial hardship.
You won't qualify if you received support from the council in the last year.
Some households may be invited to apply but you can also submit an application via the Birmingham Council website.
Brits can apply online or call 0121 634 7100 though the council said enquires will be processed quicker online.
This round of funding opened on July 31 and closes on March 31, 2024.
