Bullies called me Pinocchio so I spent £550k on surgery to look unrecognisable

A woman who has spent over £550,000 on more than 60 surgeries has revealed how she started her transformation journey to hit back at bullies who picked on her looks at school.

Laura Alicia Summers once appeared on reality series Ex on the Beach and now boasts more than 90,000 followers on Instagram after flaunting her well-honed looks.

The 37 year-old, from Manchester, has had eight boob jobs, as well as liposuction all over her body in order to attain her curvaceous appearance.

And, speaking on Channel 4’s Skin Deep series, Laura confessed that her body transformation had been driven by the criticism she faced for her looks as a youngster.

“I’ve had over 67 surgeries and spent over £550,000,” she admitted. “30% of my surgeries have been reconstructive.”

“I was really badly bullied in school, they used to call me names like Pinnocchio, Dumbo, and I always wanted to be a Victoria’s Secret model.

“Let’s face it, that wasn’t going to happen; I was 5ft 3ins, but I just wanted to change my whole appearance, my life, my body, and prove them wrong, and show them that I could have been a model.”

Admitting that she now uses her heavily altered appearance to find a partner, Laura revealed that she had even dropped out of school because of the severity of the abuse she faced.

“I dropped out when I was 12, I couldn’t hack it to be honest. I was just not that strong,” she recalled.

During the episode, Laura also offered viewers a comprehensive list of all the times she had gone under the knife.

“The whole body has been liposuctioned, basically. I put the fat into my ass, and into my hips,” she explained, before listing various other procedures including eight nose jobs and lip augmentation.

“There’s literally not a part of me that hasn’t been touched by the surgeon’s scalpel.”

But, despite the trauma that her appearance had caused her during her younger years, Laura admitted that she now loves how she looks when asked if she felt better after her surgery.

“110%, money well spent,” she said.
