Having both parents be huge Hollywood movie stars might seem like the perfect way into the industry — but for Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s children, this might not be the case.

“The Devil Wears Prada” star said she doesn’t want her children to follow in their footsteps of becoming actors.

The 40-year-old admitted that the cutthroat industry can be “very disappointing” for women due to its superficial element.

“My toes curl when people tell me, ‘My daughter wants to be an actress.’ I want to say, ‘don’t do it,’” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK.

“Because it’s a hard industry and it can be very disappointing. A lot of people tell you not to take things personally — but it’s completely personal, especially when you’re being judged on how you look. So you just have to endure that side of things.”

What’s more, the “A Quiet Place” star’s fame isn’t “exciting” for her kids, saying she’s “completely disassociated” with the level stardom she’s reached.

“When I see myself up on a billboard, I have this complete dissociation with it… I’m like, who’s that? And I can see my children doing the same — they might say, oh, there’s mama, but it’s not exciting for them,” she told the publication.

“What’s exciting for them is when I can pick them up from school and take them swimming.”

Despite her opinions on the industry, the British actress said having ambition is “healthy” and said that “knowing your worth” as an actor is crucial.

“Ambition is healthy — it shouldn’t be seen as a negative thing. It’s about knowing your worth and what you bring to a project, and never apologizing for doing well.”

Blunt shares daughters Hazel, 8, and Violet, 6, with husband and fellow actor John Krasinski, whom she married in 2010 in a stunning Lake Como wedding.

The actress has even appeared onscreen with her hubby, starring in both “A Quiet Place” horror films together.

“The Office” actor directed and co-wrote both movies.

Speaking in 2021, Blunt revealed that their eldest daughter is starting to pick up on their fame.

Admitting that they “don’t talk about fame” in their London home, Hazel did start to put two and two together in recent years.

“Hazel came home the other day, and we were in the kitchen, and she goes, ‘Are you famous?’” the Golden Globe winner told the Sunday Times at the time.

“We’ve never said that word in our house,” Blunt added. “Someone at school had clearly said it. I was like, ‘Um, not really, I don’t think I am. Did someone say that to you, Haze?’”

Hazel “did not divulge” her sources, but Blunt called the moment “weird.”
