Emmerdales Marshall star Max Fletchers life off screen including real age

Max Fletcher made his debut as Marshall Hamston on Emmerdale earlier this year. He was introduced as a possible love interest for Arthur Thomas, and despite only being on the show for less than six months, has made quite the impact on fans.

Since joining, Max’s character has had his fair share of heartbreaking scenes. From Arthur’s mother Laurel noticing bruises on Marshall arms following a violent outburst from his dad, to the young boy experiencing homophobic attacks from his own father, at such a young age, the youngster has had a lot to deal with.

Things aren’t set to slow down for him either, as Marshall has been the centre of more dramatic storylines this week.

After struggling to deal with the neglect of his father and accepting himself for who he is, the school boy found himself in a critical condition following an overdose of alcohol.

But it seems navigating serious storylines such as these is something that Max has been able to do naturally, perhaps due to his vast number of acting credits before he even joined the cast of Emmerdale.

So, in terms of the young actor’s life away from the soap and his career so far, what else do we know about Max Fletcher?

How old is Max?

In the soap, Marshall is thought to be around 15 or 16 years old, as he is in the same school year as Arthur.

Arthur was born in August 2007, meaning he’ll turn 16 in the height of summer.

In terms of Max’s real age, his acting agency, Lime Talent Agency & Management have provided a profile with some information about him. According to the site, he was born on the 1st September, 2008, making him 14, turning 15 later this year.

What else has he been in?

Despite IMDb listing Emmerdale as Max’s only TV credit, his agency has cleared things up for fans who want to know what else the youngster has been in.

According to the site, the 14 year old has a bunch of TV, theatre and commercial credits to his name.

Max has appeared in BBC drama Floodlights, where he portrayed the role of Woody, and the CBBC series, How I Found My Two Best Friends, where he played the character of – quite coincidentally – a boy named Arthur.

He’s also been in smaller youth productions of Matilda, Shrek the Musical, Annie, and The Full Monty.
