Fans of the hit Channel 5 soap Home and Away will remember the name Dani Sutherland, the rebellious eldest daughter of the Sutherland family who ran the caravan park.
Dani's actor Tammin Sursok first rose to notoriety from starring in the soap back in 1999 but after her stint in the show was over, she moved to the USA where she has carried on acting in some pretty big name productions, such as Pretty Little Liars.
While the actor is no stranger to an on screen drama, she also faced her own set of personal issues off screen from weight issues and a bullying nightmare.
So, we thought we would take a look into the life of Tammin when the cameras are not rolling.
Pretty Little Liars fame
Following her stint in Home and Away, Tammin shot to global fame when she played Jenna Marshall from 2010 to 2017 in the hit series Pretty Little Liars.
However, due to the fact she played a blind character in this production, she says it has led to some fans in the streets thinking she is actually blind in real life which she said can be awkward.
“People think I'm actually blind in real life which makes me feel like I'm a really good actress because, like, obviously I can see!” she told The Kyle and Jackie O Show at the time.
However, since leaving the set, Tammin has admitted that she rarely keeps in contact with her fellow co-stars after she was asked over Instagram.
She featured in the show alongside Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Holly Marie Combs and Lucy Hale.
Famous husband
Not only has Tammin made a name for herself but she is also married to the famous actor, director and producer Sean McEwen.
The pair got married in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy, in 2011. Her husband is well known for producing kidnap drama Graceland, TV series Aussie Girl and romantic comedy, Another Happy Day.
Tammin has revealed that she was in the middle of shooting for a movie called Sleeping Around when the pair got married.
They also share two kids called Phoenix and Lennon.
Tammin has also alluded to concerns she had that she might have lost Sean when Covid struck as he was very ill and ended up losing neatly 7kg in weight due to his illness.
She told Daily Mail Australia seeing her husband this ill was "one of the worst experiences [she'd] been through" and admitted she "didn't know if he was going to pull through."
"It was awful. It was probably one of the worst experiences I've been through. I didn't know if he was going to pull through," she said.
Bullying nightmare
In recent years, Tammin has also opened up about the bullying she received when she was younger due to her weight.
In 2016, she posted a photo of herself as a youngster with her over a million followers and said: "When I was 13, I weighed about 90 kgs. I got bullied a lot and boys were horrible to me.
"They would throw rocks at my head and kids would laugh behind my back. All I wanted was to be an actress and musician and it was the only time I felt happy.
"A guy I had a crush on told me I would never amount to anything. I told him to watch this space.
"I promise you that you are worthy, you are enough and I want you to GET UP."
The post was to highlight her #ThisIsBeautiful hashtag campaign which aimed to change the messaging and attitudes around beauty standards.
