An employee has been praised for blocking her boss after he tried to contact her about ‘work tasks’ while she was off sick.

Personal finance expert Vanessa, from Canada, took to her TikTok @wealthxlab to share her ‘life hack’ with her followers. 

She explained why she decided to block her boss from contacting her personal phone while she was at home sick. 

In the clip, which racked up over 1.3 million views, she said: ‘I just blocked my boss so he couldn’t contact me while I wasn’t at work.

‘I’m at home, sick from work today and for some reason he felt the need to text me about work tasks.

‘For some context I actually pay $45 dollars (£27) a month to have a seperate work phone and he knows not to text my personal number but he still does sometimes.

‘So today I blocked him. Life hacks.’

Many flocked to the comments to praise Vanessa for her actions with some saying bosses needs to respect boundaries.
