I dyed my hair green for a family wedding to get revenge on the bride

A woman dyed her hair green for a wedding because the thought the bride-to-be had behaved badly.

The anonymous wedding guest wants to don an emerald green do for the big day because she felt she needed to make a statement.

She said the bride had no clue she was doing it – but she said her "behaviour" on the run-up to the wedding had been so questionable that her revenge was justified.

Taking to Reddit, she said: "I dyed my hair emerald green this past weekend. The soon-to-be bride has no idea I have done this and will soon see it this upcoming weekend.

"Now, you may be asking yourself why would you do this? When is the wedding? Or even 'that’s a b***h move'. Well, get your popcorn ready!

"The wedding is less than a month away. Colours are baby blue and light pink. Very girly kind of theme. Now, my reasons for such a passive aggressive move is due to her behaviour over the past few months."

She added: "She is Mormon. I’m not…this was never an issue until she started wedding planning.

"I was raised Catholic. She has been non-stop pushing me to convert.

"Comments ranging from visiting a new temple opening, getting baptised, arguing over why her religion is better, etc.

"She told her soon-to-be SIL (sister in law) that she should 'slim down a bit' for her wedding.

"The bride made her buy a size M for her bridesmaids dress and told her 'it’ll be a great goal for you' in the bridesmaids group chat.

"SIL called me crying after. Keep in mind the bride is a XL."

The woman went onto explain the bridal shower recently took place – but she works full-time and informed the bride she would need two weeks notice to be able to attend.

She was then sent an automated message the night before the bridal shower, so she had to tell her she wouldn't be able to go.

The bride allegedly went onto text two other family members stating the woman "excludes herself and she doesn’t understand why".

Thankfully, the lass said the family members understood her reasons for not going.

"My partner and I have been dating for two years," she added.

"We have lived together for about a year. She continues to make comments that 'we live in sin', 'broke his faith my temptations' and 'I keep him from family'.

"He always has the decision of visiting family. He had a rough childhood with depression and his family’s older approach to 'praying it away'.

"They have since changed that approach but scars still remain.

"I have had multiple private conversations regarding this, but she still makes comments during family dinner that I 'keep him away from family' and 'took him away from his faith'."

The woman also explained they announced their engagement at a family dinner – and suddenly the bride said: "Can I have everyone’s attention!! We are planning our engagement."

She looked at the woman, and said: "We would love if you would be a bridesmaid".

The narked wedding guest went onto explain this was the first time they had met her.

Following the incident, her and her partner simply said their goodbyes and left.

She continued: "Last but not leas I was really hoping we could have had that movie like partnership of planning our weddings, but she has 'set rules' with me for what colours I can do, flowers, venue – just everything.

"So I just completely stopped letting her know what I’m doing."

You may think dying your hair green for a wedding would be a controversial decision for some – but many people on Reddit seemed to back her.

Hundreds of people replied to the post after the woman told her story, and people can't wait to hear what happens at the wedding.

One person said: "I cannot wait to hear how fun this was."

Another replied: "I can't think why no one wanted to marry her before now.. so strange. Good luck on the day she's going to flip."

A third also added: "Ooo I love this! Please someone update me when there’s an update to this post, I’m invested!"
