‘I let my kids swear and tell me to f*** off – it doesn’t make me bad parent’

A mum says there's "bigger issues to worry about" as she revealed how she lets her daughters swear at her.

Lucinda Hart doesn't mind if her kids use foul language at home as she backed the Fury family's attitude to swearing.

Boxer Tyson Fury and his wife Paris came under fire online after their reality show "At Home With the Furys" aired.

The Netflix programme offers an insight into their family life and shows how their kids are prone to using bad words.

And Lucinda, 47, doesn't think it's bad as she lets daughters Rafi, 10, and Aelfrida, six, say what they want in private.

She believes other parents should follow suit because it's normal to swear.

The author, from Cornwall, said: "The Fury kids swearing isn't a big deal.

"It's natural, it's normal. I don't think 'taboo' language should be censored from a young age.

"This isn't bad parenting.

"If anything censoring these words from a young age could cause kids stress and anxiety – are they really that bad?

"I always get told my girls are so lovely, kind, helpful.

"Them swearing at home in private has made no impact on their behaviour when they leave the front door."

The mum-of-two insists keeping her kids safe is more important "than a few words in their vocabulary".

Lucinda says her own kids know the "boundaries" which include no swearing at school.

And the parent recalls a time her six-year-old, Aelfrida, swore at her.

She explained: "She told me to F-off, she wasn't in a good mood.

"I wasn't bothered, it's all natural – why does it matter?

"What does matter is that your kids are kind and well-behaved.

"There are so many things to worry about as a parent.

"Don't worry about the little things that when they grow older, they will be doing anyway."

Tyson and Paris' approach to swearing was criticised by some people on X, previously known as Twitter.

  • 'I sell my smelly stripper heels to random men and it's making me a fortune'

One said: "All that money and he can't even teach his kids basic manners.

"The foul language could make grown men cry."

Another commented: "I turned it off halfway through episode 1.

"It felt like an episode of The Only Way Is Essex, plus his kids saying the F word and constant swearing not for me."

In the nine-part doc, heavyweight champ Tyson and his wife share a glimpse inside their busy Morecambe home.

The couple, who have six kids, live in a home which is believed to be worth around £550,000.
