A woman who lost a whopping 238lbs says the ‘noisy’ leftover excess skin has ruined her sex life – and she needs almost $9000 to get rid of it.
Scarlet Cosi, 36, from Alabama, says she was once so large, she was cruelly nicknamed ‘Spare Tyre’ by her classmates.
Once a comfort and binge eater, Scarlet admitted to formerly gorging on a ‘sickening’ amount of food and drink – a habit that cost her around $11,000 a year.
She suffered a double loss in 2018 when her mum died and her marriage ended, which escalated her junk diet until she tipped the scales at a staggering 392lbs.
Her new body was littered with heavy folds, ‘saggy breasts’ and infections, and in 2019, she was referred for gastric sleeve surgery.

The art lover is fundraising nearly $8722 for a procedure to remove her excess skin so she can feel ‘normal again’
Following the operation and a healthier lifestyle, Scarlet was ecstatic when she dropped an incredible nine dress sizes.
Unfortunately the battle was just beginning, as she now feels ‘horrified’ at the ‘flapping sounds’ made by her excess skin.
She said: ‘It’s really affected my intimacy and romantic life with my partner.
‘It doesn’t matter how I turn, bend or lean, I’ve got something hanging.
‘I don’t enjoy being intimate because the whole time I’m horrified of my own body. I make flapping sounds and all kinds of weird sounds and squishes.
‘My breasts look like I’ve had a litter of puppies or something. They’re horribly saggy.
‘I have to roll it up and tuck it in my bra any time it’s spilling out the top or bottom.
‘Or if you were to be the one on top, it’s just nothing but saggy, melting skin and you know your partner loves you but you know to see it is probably horrifying’.

The art lover says her loose skin heavily affects intimacy and a romantic life with her partner
Scarlet admitted to formerly gorging on a ‘sickening’ amount of food and drink, and was eventually bullied for her weight
Scarlet says she feels ‘ashamed’ at the sight of her body and would rather be ‘asexual’ so no one would be forced to look at her.
She adds that the loose skin has severely impacted things in the bedroom with partner Justin King, 34, calling their romps an ‘act of charity’.
What Scarlet ate before her diet
Breakfast: Two large coffees, three biscuits (chicken, tenderloin or baloney)
Lunch: 30 chicken strips, potato wedges and a biscuit, with two green energy drinks
Dinner: Burritos, Crispitos, hamburgers and pizza sticks with cokes and coffees
What Scarlet eats now
Breakfast: Protein shake
Lunch: Protein shake
Dinner: Roast chicken with steamed vegetables or salad
At her heaviest, she struggled to breathe and would stop in her sleep, so she used a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine.
She never drank water and instead opted for 12 packs of soda a day.
Now Scarlet is ‘desperate’ to scrape together some cash to have her excess skin removed so she can feel confident in her own skin again.

She even tried to sell her nudes on OnlyFans to pull in money for the surgery but raked in just $300

A failed attempt to sell her nudes on OnlyFans raked in just $300, so now she’s fundraising $8,722 for the procedure.
She explained: ‘People think it’s a vanity issue, it’s so much more than that.
‘It’s causing health problems, the skin on my butt that hangs is so heavy it’s hurting my nerves and making it hard to bend over and sit up right.
‘When I’m in the bath or any kind of water, my skin bobs and floats around and is crazy looking. It’s like a jellyfish effect, it really is, I don’t know how else to describe it.
‘I feel punished for all my hard work and I’ve changed from one monster to the next because of my skin.

‘I’m still walking around ashamed of my body and can’t be proud of it.
‘I just want to know what it’s like to be confident in myself for once.
‘What I’m looking forward to most after having my surgery is looking normal’.
Still, since her initial surgery and doing a complete 360 on her lifestyle, her health has drastically improved.
Scarlet says she worked hard to lose weight by exercising more and cutting her food intake by half.
Her shrunken diet consists mainly of lean meats, protein smoothies and vegetables.
However, the art lover remains deeply unsatisfied, as she reminisces the years she was taunted for her weight.
‘My whole life I was bullied because I was big’ recalls Scarlet.
‘They called me “wide load” and said that “I’m so fat I should eat myself to death and get it over with”, so they wouldn’t have to look at me.
‘Words cut but I was physically bullied. I got slammed around, tripped and hit.
‘A gentleman came up to me when I was minding my own business and asked “do you not feel ashamed for being this fat?”‘
‘The bullying made me feel horrible. It made the world a really scary place to be’.
She tells of a ‘horrific’ incident at Universal Studios, where she was told she was ‘too fat’ for the rides.
She said: ‘The most horrific thing happened at Universal Studios.
‘My friend and I waited in a line for two hours to ride two different rides, I finally got there and I’m too fat for the rides.
‘They say “it’s ok, we have a larger seat for our bigger customers. Get the larger seat!” and I’m too fat for that one too.
‘I got laughed out of there by everybody, it was humiliating.
‘Another time I was at a theatre and the seat belt wouldn’t click. It wouldn’t even go halfway around me and they asked me to leave.
‘I stood up and ran off and everyone’s laughing. I was crying and humiliated, it was so crushing. They spotlighted me in a dark theatre, it was my worst nightmare’.
