Ashley Cainand Safiyya Vorajee marked what would have been their daughter Azalyia’s second birthday in a heartfelt way.
The Ex On The Beach star, 31, and his former partner Safiyya, 33, were left devastated whentheir little girl lost her battle with acute myeloid leukaemia at eight months oldon 25 April 2021.
Azaylia would have turned two on 10 August and her parents took to their Instagram pages tomark the day with heartfelt messages.
Ashley and Safiyya also celebrated their little girl’s short life in an emotional way and took to social media to show how they did so.
Safiyya visited Azaylia’s grave in the morning and showed off how it had been decorated with Cocomelon toys, balloons and flowers in the shape of a number two.
She later kept followers in the loop as she headed to the gym before “collecting my baby’s b’day cake” and dressed in a pink dress saying: “Pink because I had my baby girl”.
As the balloons gathered around the place where her daughter is buried Safiyya said the sight was “so so beautiful”.
She also gave a glimpse of the cake that the group had made for Azalyia which came in two tiers and featured a picture of her and was adorned in rainbow piping.
As the day went on Ashley shared a video of the large gathering that had taken up by his daughter’s grave.
His nearest and dearest had come out to celebrate Azalyia with a picnic by her grave and Ashley simply penned: “We love you Azaylia [orange heart].”
Paying tribute to his daughter on Instagram Ashley wrote: "Happy Heavenly 2nd Birthday Azaylia," with an angel emoji.
He continued: "I Love You I Long For You," followed by a red heart emoji and a broken heart emoji.
Ashley, whorecently ran 100 miles to mark one year since Azaylia's tragic death , finished this message by adding: "My angel, my life, my entire world, you're the one that I want, the one that I need, please be with me always, my love, my everything – Azaylia Diamond Cain," with a white heart emoji.
He followed this with several pictures of himself leaning in to kiss his little girl before posting a clip of Azaylia in a hospital bed as he told her he loves her.
"Be an Angel to someone else whenever you can, as a way of thanking God for the help your Angel has given you," he wrote. "May you believe that you always have an angel by your side. Happy Birthday Azaylia I Love you".
