Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s oldest son, Yair Netanyahu, is spending time in Miami in an effort to “distance” himself from his polarizing dad, Page Six has exclusively learned.

“Yair loves his dad but wants to do his own thing,” a source tells us. “He is of a new generation. Social media, activism and his own beliefs are what is important to him.”

The 31-year-old’s trip to the Sunshine State comes just weeks after his father reportedly banned him from using social media.

According to the Jerusalem Post, multiple sources recently told the Israeli news outlet Walla Times that Benjamin, 73, and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, told Yair he was allegedly “causing harm” with his explosive tweets.

The prime minister’s son is reportedly considered one of Israel’s leading right-wing activists on Twitter and so his parents wanted him to “calm down.”

That report was released on April 13, and Yair has not been active on his Twitter account since March 28.

Our insider explains that Benjamin didn’t like that that his son has been “protesting and being so public,” noting that it’s “dangerous, especially in Israel.”

“America seems to give him that freedom and distance,” the source adds of Yair. “There isn’t as much of a spotlight.”

However, Yair hasn’t necessarily been keeping a low profile since arriving in the Sunshine State.

He was spotted Tuesday night at loanDepot Park, the home of the Miami Marlins, to celebrate his Jewish roots.

The baseball stadium hosted a celebration for the 75th anniversary of Israel’s independence, which the country declared in 1948.

It is unclear whether Yair has moved to Florida for good, but our source confirms he is “in Miami now figuring out his next move.”

However, the insider points out that the “The Yair Netanyahu Show” podcaster “has a vision for what he wants to do and say.”

Per the Jerusalem Post, Yair was seen earlier this month headed for the United States and, according to Walla News, is expected to be in America “for several months.”

It appears that the former social media coordinator has been a longtime fan of the States.

In 2014, he flew to Washington, D.C., and then over to New York City with his dad.

Aside from Yair, Benjamin and Sara also share a younger son, Avner Netanyahu, 28.

The prime minister also has an older daughter, Noa Netanyahu-Roth, 44, from his previous marriage to Miriam Haran.

Yair could not immediately be reached for comment on his latest sighting.
