Ive spent £120k on tattoos and got vagina inked for empowering reason

A model who spent £120,000 on tattoos opened up about her most intimate inkings – including a £420 vagina design.

Valentina, or Mistress Valentina to fans, started to get inked when she was just 16-years-old. And ever since then, the Brighton-based sex worker became well acquainted with the tattoo gun.

She decided to build up a huge collection of designs that sprawl across her body after she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia – the cancer of the blood and bone marrow.

Valentina was put on life support after waking from a coma in 2021 after two months – then started rigorous cancer treatment including rounds of chemotherapy.

After fighting the disease, the sex worker and model was concerned about the scars left across her body – particularly over her crotch.

So Valentina did what she knew best, get a tattoo – on her vagina.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Star, Valentina discussed her pricey ink collection and reflected on her most intimate additions.

Valentina said: "I was still on cancer treatment when I got it and I had loads of scars down there because I was on life support in my coma, I was in a coma for about two months.

"They put two massive tubes in my crotch kind of area and I really hated those scars and I was like I need to get this covered up.

"I had a bone marrow biopsy, got out of hospital in the morning and then at 10 o’clock I went to the tattoo studio and I sat for five hours while he tattooed me down there. I was dealing with so much at the time that there was no pain and I was just excited to get it covered up.

"My vagina tattoo cost me… I think it was £450. So it wasn’t that expensive."

In the grand scheme of things, a couple of hundred for a tattoo isn't a lot when Valentina has spent thousands becoming a walking canvas. Along with her vagina markings, she has plenty of over inkings that cover her skin.

Most of the designs are of spiritual mandala patterns and are in black ink – bar the few small pink patterns on her leg.

Although none of the tattoos are particularly 'meaningful', her post-hospital face tattoo is one that is worth the money for Valentina at is symbolises her leap into becoming a full-time and successful sex worker.

"I’ve easily spent £120,000 on tattoos,” Valentina admitted. "I’ve got my back done, my arms, I’ve got a full leg done, some on my front, I’ve got my neck, my chest done, the back of my head – when I was bald I did that – and then I’ve got loads of little pink ones on one of my legs.

“Other than that they’re all black ink, mainly mandalas, they're pretty basic. They don’t have any meaning. I have a matching tattoo with my dad, that has the most meaning.

“I just really like tattoos, I like the look but I don’t think I’ve got anything special.

“But when I did get out of treatment I did tattoo my face because I didn’t really want to go into having a ‘normal’ job. I didn’t want to do anything other than free self-employed life in the sex industry.

"My face is probably the most interesting one to talk about but I am covered head to toe, I haven’t got my boobs tattooed though because I’m tempted to get a boob job."

Valentina, who is now in remission, is no longer splashing the cash on tattoos. She now has other priorities, like getting onto the property ladder.

“I don’t get tattooed anymore really," Valentina shared. "I’ve got one side of my neck to finish because I have loads of scars here as well. So I had a tracheostomy so I got that [scar] covered up as well.

“Basically, the only tattoos I’ve really got since being ill is just covering up scars and it’s not that I’ve lost interest, I just think that there are more important things to do than get tattooed, which is a bit boring.

"Financial goals are…I don’t know right now but I’m trying to buy a flat in Brighton. I want something high spec so that’s quite expensive. But to buy my dream apartment is the goal right now."
