He explained: ‘Many of you have been asking if we kept a puppy from Mabel’s recent litter and…of course we did…introducing Isla.
‘Her name is a little nod to her Scottish routes and [she] has already found her place in the pack.’
The Ella & Co. founder previously revealed that his Golden Retriever Mabel had welcomed a litter of eight puppies this summer.
In his social media post, he also shared a snap of all his dogs together, including James’ five cocker spaniels: Ella, Inca, Luna, Zulu and Nala.
James also posted a sweet clip to his Instagram stories showing him teaching the puppy her name.

Isla is a variation of Islay, a Scottish island on the west coast. The puppy shares her name with a member of the royal family, Isla Phillips, who is the daughter of Peter Phillips and granddaughter of Princess Anne.
In September, James paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II by naming another of his new puppies Bertie after her father King George VI’s family nickname.
He revealed the golden retriever also has another thing in common with the monarch which is a ‘life of service’ as he is training to become a guide dog.
James told Hello!: ‘In light of recent events, I wanted a name that is a touching tribute to the late Queen.’
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96 on 8 September 2022. The Queen’s father was called Bertie by his family members because his first name was Albert.
James said: ‘It was incredible that the Queen dedicated her life to service, and in many ways Bertie the dog will be dedicating his life to service too.’
