Jackie Kennedy's granddaughter Rose looks like the former First Lady

EXCLUSIVE: Doubletake! Jackie Kennedy’s granddaughter Rose Schlossberg, 34, is the image of the former First Lady with her dark eyebrows and wide-set eyes as she takes to the surf in California

  • Rose Kennedy Schlossberg went surfing in Ventura, California, and showed exactly why she has been called a doppelganger for her late grandmother
  • ‘She has the dark eyebrows and wide set eyes, and that same wan smile that Jackie had. Rose has her quiet grace as well; it’s absolutely uncanny,’ said one beachgoer
  • Rose, 34, met up with a female friend and the two of them spent more than three hours in and out of the water
  • Rose is the eldest child of JFK and Jackie Kennedy’s daughter, Caroline
  • She married film producer-turned restaurateur Rory McAuliffe, 31, in Ojai, California, in May

She looks more like her grandmother Jackie every time she’s spotted and when Rose Kennedy Schlossberg took to the beach it was almost like going back in time.

The sporty and fit 34-year-old former comic actress met up with a female friend at a popular surf spot in Ventura, California, wearing large sunglasses and a baseball cap that covered much of her face.

But as soon as she got down to Surfers Point at Seaside Park and got ready to ride the waves, she removed her dark glasses and put on a bucket hat and then the resemblance to the former First Lady was obvious.

Despite a couple of false starts and total wipeouts, Rose kept going back for more, never giving up

Rose went into the water dozens of times during more than three hours at the beach in Ventura, California

‘She has the dark eyebrows and wide set eyes, and that same wan smile that Jackie had. Rose has her quiet grace as well; it’s absolutely uncanny,’ said one beachgoer.

Rose’s resemblance to Jackie has been noted before. DailyMail.com wrote in 2016 that she has the ‘same brunette locks, delicate smile, wide set eyes and slender frame.’

The surf was relatively calm on October 20, just one to two foot waves. Dozens of surfers sat out in the Pacific Ocean straddling their boards, waiting for a good set to ride in on.

The spot is a local favorite with celebrities like Rob Lowe, pro-surfers Kelly Slater and the legendary South African World champion Shaun Thompson who now lives up the coast about 12 miles in Montecito.

Rose crossed a  network of rocks and paddled out to where the swells began, while her pal went to another area.

Despite a couple of false starts and total wipeouts, Rose kept going back for more, never giving up over more than three hours.

Rose is the eldest child of Jackie’s daughter US ambassador to Australia, Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, 64, and her longtime husband, artist Edwin Schlossberg, 77. They have two other children, Tatiana, 32, and Jack, 29.

She married filmmaker-turned-restaurateur Rory McAuliffe, 31, at their $1.2 million home in nearby Ojai, California on May 14, of this year.

Rose and Rory’s same sex wedding was attended by 300 guests; including her mother’s first cousin Maria Shriver, 66, former talk show host David Letterman, 75, singer Jimmy Buffet, 75, and How I Met Your Mother actor Jason Segal, 42, who is a neighbor.

Rose’s wife co-owns Ojai farm-to-table hot spot Rory’s Place, which she opened in February with her older sister, chef Meave McAuliffe, 36.

Ojai’s laid back and artsy vibe attracts locals and tourists who visit the boutique hotels, world-class spas, golf courses, hiking, biking and horse trails and eclectic restaurants.

‘It’s a world away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles,” a local tells the Daily Mail.”

Rose is the first grandchild of John F Kennedy, the 35th president and Jackie Kennedy. She is named after her paternal great grandmother and Kennedy family matriarch Rose, who lived until 1995 at the ripe old age of 104.

Just like her granddaughter, Jackie loved being on the water too. Here she is waterskiing with astronaut and future Republican senator John Glenn in Massachusetts in 1962

She was raised on the Upper East Side of New York City and had a close relationship with her famous grandmother Jackie.

She attended Brearley, an all girls private school in NYC where the tuition is currently $60k a year.

Grandma Jackie once helped chaperone her school trip to the American Museum of Natural History and was reportedly the only grandparent in the group.

But she died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a blood cancer, in 1994 when Rose was just five-and-a-half year’s old.

Called “bright and independent” Rose graduated from Harvard in 2010 with a degree in English studies. She went on to earn her Masters of Professional studies from New York University three years later.

After dabbling in film for a number of years she seemed to drop out of sight. But as these exclusive DailyMail.com photos reveal, she has found her own West Coast version of ‘Camelot’ with Rory.

In a recent online interview with Remodelista, Rory was asked if she could see herself and wife Rose raising children in Ojai?

“I have a kid,” she answered, “It’s Rory’s Place.”
