Looks like Ben Affleck got out of his wife’s “work event” Monday night.

The “Air” director stayed put in Los Angeles while Jennifer Lopez jetted to New York City for Met Gala festivities with sister Lynda Lopez.

Lynda, 51, shared a cute snap of her and the “Jenny from the Block” singer snuggling at Stella McCartney and Baz Luhrmann’s Met Gala afterparty.

“#Aboutlastnight Stayed up late wayyyy too many nights this week… #mamasnightout,” the journalist captained her Instagram post Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Jennifer’s vocal coach, Stevie Mackey, was the singer’s plus-one on the prestigious Met Gala red carpet.

Affleck was reportedly unable to make the starry night due to “work commitments he could not get out of” in Los Angeles, according to the Daily Mail.

Jennifer and Lynda have always maintained a close relationship. In July 2021, the “AOC: The Fearless Rise and Powerful Resonance of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez” author penned a sweet note for her sister in honor of her birthday.

“My original BFF, I love you more than words can say,” Lynda wrote at the time, alongside a selfie of the pair.

“Not only are you the most fun, and my ride or die, You light the world and show me what’s possible and are my inspiration always. Sometimes I can’t believe I was so lucky that God put the beautiful soul that is you into my life.”

Lynda, who is a single mom to 14-year-old daughter Lucie, is deeply admired by her sister.

“I just love and respect her so much. She’s a single mom but not like I’m a single mom. I have a lot of help — she doesn’t,” Jennnifer said in a 2013 Cosmopolitan interview.

“I always ask, ‘Do you need anything?’” she added.

“And she’s like, ‘I’m good.’ But I know she’s exhausted.”

No doubt, Affleck’s absence was missed by many, who delighted in his facial expressions when he accompanied his wife to the Grammys earlier this year.

He reflected on his seemingly grumpy demeanor going viral in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I had a good time at the Grammys,” he shared. “My wife was going, and I thought, ‘Well, there’ll be good music. It might be fun.’ At movie award shows, it’s speeches and, like, sound-mixing webinars. But I thought this would be fun.”

He continued, “I saw [Grammy host Trevor Noah approach] and I was like, ‘Oh, God.’ They were framing us in this shot, but I didn’t know they were rolling. I leaned into her and I was like, ‘As soon they start rolling, I’m going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor.’ She goes, ‘You better f–king not leave.’ That’s a husband-and-wife thing.”

The “Fargo” star conceded that it was his wife’s “work” event.

“And I’ve gone to events and been pissed off. I’ve gone and been bored.”
