Kylie Jenner shows off year-long ‘hair health journey’ with bouncy shoulder-length chop

Kylie Jenner changes hairstyles more frequently than we change our bed sheets, but it seems as though the reality star has returned her hair to its natural state – for the meantime, at least.

Posting a short video to her Instagram Stories, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star shows off a new shoulder-length dark brunette hairstyle that’s distinctly shorter than we’re used to seeing her with. We know that Kylie’s a fan of wearing wigs and extensions, but it appears that she’s said goodbye to both to embrace her natural hair.

“Over a year into the hair health journey and this is how we’re doing,” she captions the video, running her fingers through her noticeably shiny hair, which has been styled into a bouncy blow-dry – very “90s Rachel Green”, we think.

This comes just weeks after Kylie was seen sporting an array of elaborate hairstyles at Paris Fashion Week, from super-straight, waist-length locks to intricately-styled updos. Fans praised the star’s many dramatic looks seen over the series of fashion industry events, even applauding when she appeared to have bleached her eyebrows – a bold look that’s currently popular with celebs like Nicola Pelts Beckham and Kendall Jenner.

“The eyebrows are giving me life,” one person commented underneath a close-up photo of Kylie’s hair and makeup.

“Kylie is so pretty, can’t believe she looks this good even after bleaching her eyebrows,” wrote another.

Kylie’s comment about working on her hair’s health may also be a reference to postpartum hair loss, following the birth of her second child back in February. While the 25-year-old hasn’t publicly admitted to struggling with this, postpartum hair loss is a common occurrence amongst women, caused by the changes in hormones causing hair to temporarily shed more than usual. This can last up to six months after giving birth, and sometimes longer.

Other celebrities like Jacqueline Jossa, Lauren Pope and Millie Mackintosh have all spoken openly about dealing with postpartum hair loss. “It’s something that’s really affected me since having Sienna, and I found it really difficult,” Millie previously admitted after the birth of her first daughter.

We hope that Kylie continues on her hair health journey as we’ve loved seeing her natural hair – however we admit that secretly we can’t wait to see which style she’ll be rocking next!
