Lego slashed by 30 percent in Argos Black Friday sale

Argos has slashed prices on a range of Lego sets as part of its huge Black Friday sale. The retailer marked one of the year’s biggest shopping events by reducing more than 30 Lego sets, with more than a third off some awesome models including Star Wars, Harry Potter and Disney.

Gone are the days when the iconic Danish brand was considered a toy just for children. Lego now produces tons of sets for adults, with the brick becoming something of a valuable commodity.

We’ve scoured Argos’ Black Friday sale to find the biggest and best deals on Lego sets and collectible models, with savvy shoppers able to bag savings of up to £70. This year, it’s Star Wars fans who can make the biggest savings as a host of buildable ships and collectibles display models have had their prices dramatically reduced.

Argos customers can pick up some impressive Lego sets from a galaxy far, far away, including this ultra-cool X-Wing Starfighter. Billed as Lego “for adults,” this set from the brand’s Ultimate Collector Series comes with a Luke Skywalker minifigure complete with lightsaber and outfit designed specially for this set.

The almost 2,000-piece set includes a buildable display stand featuring a plaque showing X-Wing technical data, while its wings can be switched from flight mode to attack mode at the turn of a switch. This set is now a third off at £140 – a huge £70 saving.

Those looking to push the boat out can save almost £150 on the Millennium Falcon Collector Series set, an impressive 7,541-piece set that has 20 percent off at £588. Shoppers can add another collectible model to the collection and save a third on Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder, now £70 off at £140.

It’s starships galore this Black Friday as the Mandalorian Fighter vs TIE Interceptor set is also a third off at £90. This two-ship set includes the Fang Fighter from season of the hit Disney+ series alongside the classic TIE Interceptor, complete with three minifigures including Mando himself with the Darksaber.

But it’s not all Star Wars this Black Friday, as Potterheads can also make some big savings with these impressive Harry Potter Lego sets. This Hogwarts Castle and Grounds set recreates iconic locations from the most famous school in the Wizarding World, and is now more than a third off.

Measuring 21cm high and 35cm wide, this intricate 2,660-piece set includes everything from Hogwarts’ Main Tower, Astronomy Tower and Great Hall to the Black Lake, Winged Key room and Chamber of Secrets. Shoppers can save £55 on this spellbinding set, now down to £95.

Fans can also cast their very own Patronus Charm with this awesome Expecto Patronum set. The two-in-one display figure – with poseable legs and translucent light-blue elements – can be built to resemble Harry Potter’s stag or Professor Lupin’s wolf Patronus, and is now a third off at £42.

If Jedis and wizards aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty of savings to be made, including a third off DC’s Batwing: Batman vs. The Joker Plane set for £21.33 and the Jurassic Park T. rex Breakout set for £60. Bargain hunters can also save almost £70 on the Lego Ideas Globe Spinning Model set, an impressive display model that replicates a vintage-style globe

Made up of more than 2,500 pieces, the globe includes Lego Technic elements to recreate a globe’s circling movement, while its glow-in-the-dark decorated tiles display the names of continents and oceans. Argos has slashed a third off this set at £133.33.

Disney fans can celebrate The House of Mouse’s 100th Anniversary with the collectable Walt Disney Tribute Camera set – complete with a film strip showing stills from 20 historic films – now a third off at £63.33. There’s a £61 saving to be made with Disney’s Enchanted Treehouse Princess set, which comprises a two-level dolls house complete with a waterfall, hidden cave, a zip line, hidden staircase, canoe and a campfire, plus a host of princesses including Princess Jasmine, Wendy and Tinker Bell and Frozen’s Anna and Elsa.
