Martha Stewart, 81, poses for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit

Martha Stewart, 81, becomes OLDEST woman to ever land Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover, wowing in a very low-cut white bathing suit – while Megan Fox, 36, dares to bare in a raunchy design made entirely of CHAINS

  • SI Swim announced its cover stars this morning – including Martha and Megan
  • In addition, Kim Petras, 30, and Brooks Nader, 26, graced the front of the mag
  • Martha became the oldest woman to star on the cover, which she called ‘historic’

81-year-old Martha Stewart flaunted her stunning figure on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2023 issue – making her the oldest woman ever to appear on the front of the magazine.

The publication revealed its four cover stars this morning, which included Martha, along with Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader.

The businesswoman – who called posing for the magazine at her age ‘historic’ – showed off her amazing physique throughout the shoot, donning 10 different swimsuits that left her body on full display.

One photo showed her standing in red one-piece with a plunging neckline, while another featured the 81-year-old smiling towards the camera in a white bathing suit and an orange shawl.

A different photo showed Martha laying across the beach in a tan, ruffled swimsuit with an over-sized straw hat, while a fourth featured the TV personality in the water while wearing a silver, zip-up bathing suit and enormous white sunglasses.

She was photographed by Ruven Afanador in the Punta Cana area of the Dominican Republic.

While reflecting on the experience, Martha explained that she ‘doesn’t think about age very much,’ but admitted that being a part of the magazine at 81 was definitely a big deal to her.

‘When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, “Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I think ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated,”‘ she said.

‘And I don’t think about age very much, but I thought that this is kind of historic.’

‘Age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or in terms of success, but what people do, how people think, how people act, that’s what’s important and not your age,’ she added.

Martha also spoke about the cover shoot on the Today show this morning, explaining that while it was a ‘challenge’ for her, she felt like she ‘met the challenge.’

‘For me, it is a testament to good living,’ she continued. ‘I think that all of us should think about good living, successful living, and not about aging. The whole aging thing is so boring.’

‘[This year], there is a hope that women can live in a world where they feel no limitations, internally or externally,’ SI Swimsuit editor in chief MJ Day said in a statement. Brooks is seen

Megan opted for a nearly naked look for her cover, wearing only a series of beads and chains. As for Kim, she stunned in a sparkly, gold bikini on hers (seen)

Martha also dished on the work she put into ensuring she looked her best in the months leading up to the shoot.

‘I didn’t starve myself, but I didn’t eat any bread or pasta for a couple months. I went to Pilates every other day,’ she explained.

‘I live a clean life anyway. Good diet and good exercise and healthy skin care and all of that stuff, but it was kind of fun.’

She said it was ‘odd’ to pose in her bathing suit in front of ‘all those people,’ but joked, ‘It turned out OK.’

She added that she hoped people would feel ‘inspired’ by seeing her on the cover.

SI Swimsuit’s other cover stars for 2023 include actress Megan, 36, transgender Grammy-award winning singer Kim, 30, and model Brooks, 26.

‘There is no theme [to this year’s issue] – rather, there is a vision, a sentiment, a hope that women can live in a world where they feel no limitations, internally or externally,’  SI Swimsuit editor in chief MJ Day said in a statement.

‘But the absence of a theme is not to say that [these women] don’t share certain common traits. They’re constantly evolving.’

‘For me, it is a testament to good living,’ she said. ‘I think that all of us should think about good living, successful living, and not about aging. The whole aging thing is so boring’

When it came to why she chose the four cover stars, MJ gushed, ‘Never in her life has [Martha] let her circumstances dictate her outcome.

‘She’s changed with the times – always one step ahead, it seems – to build a wide-reaching business empire.

‘Grammy-winning pop star [Kim] is a beacon of inspiration for the LGBTQ+ community, and has blazed her own path to superstardom – but it has been anything but a straight line.

‘[Megan] humbly accepts her stunning beauty while simultaneously seeking to be seen and appreciated as the woman of intellect and internal beauty.

‘[Brooks’] heart and hustle have not only landed her on the cover but have also positioned the 26-year-old for success in the business sphere.’

Megan opted for a nearly naked look for her cover, wearing only a series of beads and chains. As for Brooks, she stunned on the cover in an eye-popping, red swimsuit, while Kim was seen in a sparkly, gold bikini on hers.

Megan (seen in 2022) admitted that it was ‘a lot of pressure’ to be on the cover, but said she was excited to use the opportunity to show that she is a ‘genuine soul’

Kim (seen at the Grammys with Sam Smith) told the outlet that she was ‘proud and happy’ to be a part of the cover shoot, adding, ‘It means being accepted by people, that’s f**king beautiful’

Brooks (seen earlier this week), who was discovered by SI’s Swim Search program in 2019, called being on the cover ’empowering’ after dealing with ‘rejection a million times over’

Aside from the four cover stars, the issue will celebrate 24 other ‘incredible’ women.

Megan, who was photographed in the Dominican Republic by Greg Swales, admitted that it was ‘a lot of pressure’ to be on the cover, but said she was excited to use the opportunity to show that she is a ‘genuine soul.’

Brooks was photographed by James Macari in the Dominican Republic, and it marked her fifth SI Swim photoshoot

Like Martha, she described it as a ‘challenge,’ because she had to build up her ‘confidence.’

‘It was a challenge, like, “Can you push your confidence and believe you are hot?”‘ the Unholy songstress – who was shot by Yu Tsai in Los Angeles – recalled asking herself. ‘Ever since [the shoot], I feel more like I can do [anything].’
