Martin Lewis' tip helped me slash an essential bill by £270 beating a huge price hike – you can too | The Sun

A CAR owner has revealed how a Martin Lewis tip helped her slash an essential bill by £270.

The driver, only named as Ruth, said she cut her car insurance bill using one of the money-saving expert's hacks.

Martin had urged Brits to check whether they could lock into their insurance bills for a year.

He said this was a way of avoiding sudden, unexpected price hikes and save them £100s.

The expert had warned that prices could be going up a whopping 41% and told Brits to try an online comparing tool to see if they could save some cash.

Ruth said she'd seen her car insurance was going up by around £200, so she checked out Martin's advice.
