As she makes her way around the kitchen, Aine asks her colleagues about their ‘worst customer story,’ which opened up a can of worms – and emotions.
One of her colleagues, Emel, responded: ‘It was a man throwing hot coffee at me saying it wasn’t hot, but he burnt my chest. So, I don’t know how it wasn’t hot, but it was a fresh pot, hun.’
Co-worker Ashley is asked the same question and she manages to keep a smile as she shares: ‘I was taking both lanes, running and doing fries and drinks, and this man couldn’t wait one second.
‘He went into the lobby and started screaming at me.’
She then flashes a two thumbs-up.
Video narrator Aine responds with sarcastic ‘nice.’
McDonald’s worker Ian recalls an awkward run-in that involved tickling.
‘I got tickled on my hand once, I got smiled at… It was really creepy,’ Ian said.

‘Then some lady said I could be her Uber bag, which is really weird.’
Aine then responds mid-laughter: ‘Okay that’s lovely.’
She then goes on to her manager, Taya, who has seen it all.
The manager calmly talks about a time she cried at work because a customer was being overly-aggressive.
‘Okay, this one time the guy made me cry on the phone, and then there’s the other time when I was like explaining to this guy how mobile orders work, but he didn’t believe me. This was in the drive-thru,’ Taya explained.
‘So he called his wife, who was at home, to speak to me through her phone, through the drive-thru, to yell at me about how stupid I was and how I didn’t know how to do my job.’
Her last co-worker openly talked about a stalking problem she faced when she was only 15.
‘My worst customer story is these two guys came to the drive-thru in their 20s, and I was 15,’ she said.
‘They came through and asked for my number, and I said, “No.”
Fellow food industry service workers flocked to the video to add their own stories
‘Then they came back and sat in the drive-thru, and would not leave until I gave them some sort of personal information.’
The TikTok video brought fellow food industry service workers together as commentators flocked to the video to add their own stories.
‘I work at McDonald’s. I’ve been there for one year working fast food with customers – definitely is a experience,’ one person said.
One follower replied to that comment writing: ‘Literally you just learn more about HOW PEOPLE ARE SO different… the attitudes and audacity. Weirdness.’
‘Been at Mcdonald’s almost two years. I have so many stories,’ one comment read.
Another comforted her fellow fast-food workers: ‘We’re not victims, we’re survivors.’
Fans are requesting that TikTok creator Aine makes a part two with more stories.
And the creator promised to deliver.
