Megan McKenna is no stranger to a dramatic hair transformation, and the former The Only Way is Essex star has just shown off her boldest look yet in her latest Instagram posts.
Her new cut is shorter and darker than ever before, with a blunt cut bob that stops above her shoulders and a cool-toned deep brunette shade.
Megan, who’s now a country singer, is known for switching up her hairstyles on a whim, and in the last few months has shown off waist-length red waves, a short brunette bob with sweeping side fringe, and aMiley Cyrus-esque mushroom cut.
Now however, the reality star turned country singer has gone for a slicked back dark bob, which she’s styled in an on-trend wet look finish, sweeping her hair back from her face and behind her ears as she poses with her new boyfriend, footballer Olive Burke.
Megan teamed her new dark brunette chop with a brown suede cut out dress as she showed off her impressive tan during a holiday in Dubai, adding some effortless glam with the wet look style.
Wet look hair is everywhere at the moment, and makes the perfect style for holidays and warmer weather, as it eliminates the appearance of frizz and gives you that effortless, fresh-out-of-the-pool look. It’s also handy when your hair’s suffering from the heat and humidity, as you need to add copious amounts of a moisturising product, such as cream or oil, to your hair to get the right wet look finish, meaning you’re giving your dry or damaged hair an extra boost of hydration.
Megan also gave her followers a glimpse of her new hair before it was styled in the wet look finish, as she shared a video of her trying out a new chrome highlighter on her cheeks. In the video, Megan’s hair is styled in a soft half up half down style, with a side parting and a hint of a swooping side fringe across her face.
Her new style stops just above her shoulders and has been flicked at the bottoms in another 00s-favourite trend as she dabs the duochrome highlighter onto her cheeks.
Megan had previously teased another look at her new style whilst on holiday, although her hair looked to have more of a choppy full fringe than her recent updates, and was covered in a patterned headscarf to protect it from the sun.
One things for certain; Megan is the queen of a dramatic makeover, so we can’t wait to see what style she tries out next.
