Former Love Islander Millie Court has fans concerned about her comfort as she shows off her skin-baring bikini.
The reality star shared the snap of her posing in a metallic silver string bikini, which featured a triangle top and ultra high waisted thong-style bottoms, whilst on a trip to Thailand.
Captioning the photo: “Ready for bikini days”, Millie looks stunning as she poses against a dramatic sunset, but her followers couldn’t help but focus on how uncomfortable her bikini bottoms looked.
One follower commented: “She looks stunning but Jesus how far up are your bikini bottoms that has to be sore”, But Millie was quick to come back to her worried fan, replying: “they’re made and designed like that babe, high waisted thong bikini dw my bum was fine xxx”
Another joked: “Where do the bottoms begin and end?!”, and after some more comments about the ultra high waisted thong design, Millie was forced to post an Instagram story clapping back at her worried followers.
Resharing her photo, Millie wrote: “Oh I love a controversial post… apparently my bottoms look like they’re hurting me” with several crying laughing emojis. She continued: “For those concerned, it’s a high waisted thong bikini and was actually designed and made like that, much to those Karen’s surprise, I haven’t decided to give myself a wedgie hahaha.”
The thong style bikini was originally popular in the 80s, but was given a 2020s update by celebs like Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and Emily Ratajkowski, who dared to bare some extra skin not long after lockdown ended.
Now, with summer fast approaching and people booking holidays wherever they can, the thong bikini is making a return for the third year in a row. Although the super high waisted, bum cheek baring style might not seem like it’s for the faint hearted, there are plenty of different styles available if you want to try it out on your next vacation.
For the more daring amongst you, a tie sided, super high cut will give you a celeb-approved look – not to mention getting rid of those pesky tan lines. However, if baring that much skin fills you with dread, going for a wider cut style can help you get a more modest version of the trend.
