Mrs Hinch decided to take on the en-suite shower with a simple trick that banishes thick build-up in seconds, leaving the shower head looking as good as new. In the clip, she was seen removing the shower head and popping it into a sandwich bag with some limescale remover.

She said: "We've also got a sandwich bag which I am going to use to wrap around the shower head and leave it to soak for a little bit." She then sealed it with an elastic band.

On screen, there was a warning stating that limescale removers should be used with windows open as they contain harsh chemicals.

Sophie then moved on to the shower while the head was soaking "for 10 minutes" and decided to tackle the door. While the frame for the glass couldn't be removed, she used cotton buds to get into it and clean the inside.

Once she's tackled the doors, she then went back to the shower head which was ready to be rinsed off and wiped it with a sponge. The dirt came off fairly quickly – and Mrs Hinch declared: "Brand new. You'd never know babe."
