My ex is falsely accusing me of sexual assault so I can't see my daughter | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: MY ex is falsely accusing me of sexual assault to stop me seeing my daughter.

I’m 44, she’s 39 and our daughter is six.

We split last October when she discovered that I’d been messaging other women on Instagram.

Considering the circumstances, our break-up was pretty amicable. We just wanted the best for our daughter.

Then last month a mutual friend asked if the “rumours“ were true.

Apparently, my ex has been telling people I sexually assaulted her while we were together, and has filed a report with the police.

She knows it never happened, but won’t drop the allegations.

What should I do?

DEIDRE SAYS: If your ex is prepared to go to such extremes to keep you out of your daughter’s life, going through the courts to organise custody will be the best way forward.
