Minnie Driver claimed Nicolas Cage bought an additional airplane seat for his son’s imaginary friend.

The “Good Will Hunting” actress told the adorable story when she tried to prove that Cage was not the mean-spirited person a fan tried to make him out to be in an Instagram post shared Monday.

“Was once on a plane with NC and his son and a seat had also been purchased for his son’s imaginary friend. 🖤,” the 53-year-old British actress claimed in the comment section, garnering more than 200 likes.

However, it is unclear which of Cage’s two sons — Kal-El, 17, or Weston, 32 — the actress was referring to.

She told her story after a woman claimed a hotel manager had allegedly asked her and her fiancé to give up their bridal suite so that a “celebrity” could stay in the room “long term.”

However, the bride claimed that they told him “no.”

“On our wedding weekend, we saw Nicolas Cage walking around our hotel,” she continued alleging. “Nic [sic] Cage tried to ruin my wedding and that’s my story.”

Cage’s manager, however, denied that the actor had purchased a seat for his son’s imaginary friend. He also denied the bride’s claims.

Cage shares Weston with ex Christina Fulton, whom they welcomed in 1990, and Kal-El, who was born in 2005, with Alice Kim.

But by September 2022, Cage welcomed his first daughter, August Francesca, with Riko Shibata. The two married in March 2021.

Ahead of the birth of his daughter, Cage told Access Hollywood that he was “extremely excited” to be a dad again.

“My boys are all grown up, and I miss going to the toy store. I miss singing lullabies and rocking in the rocking chair,” he told the outlet. “I’m looking forward to getting back to that.”

Cage has been married a total of five times, including his marriage to Erika Koike which lasted just four days.

He was also previously wed to Lisa Marie Presley, who died in January following a cardiac arrest, from 2002 to 2004.

“Lisa had the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met,” Cage told the Hollywood Reporter at the time of her passing. “She lit up every room.”
