‘OnlyFans saved my life – earning £50k a year from sexy pics paid medical bills’

A woman who started an OnlyFans page to cover the cost of medical bills now earns £50k a year – and she said joining the adult platform has saved her life.

Rachael Huckle was previously diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease and needed private treatment.

As she had to find a way to make money quickly, she took to OnlyFans to earn some cash, and she now rakes in thousands of pounds a month.

After bringing in the cash, she was finally able to get the private treatment she needed for the condition which had stumped NHS doctors for years prior.

The 35-year-old claims the 408 monthly subscribers, who pay to see her sexy pictures, saved her life by funding her £1,500-per-month medical treatments.

Her condition – pemphigus – caused painful blisters to erupt throughout Rachael's digestive system including the mouth, nose, throat and bowel.

Rachael, known online as Ivy Tenebrae, is now using her OnlyFans cash to complete a counselling course so she can support others with rare autoimmune diseases.

The adult content creator from Wrexham, Wales, said: "Before I went for private treatment, I wasn't walking and I was barely eating.

"Several times I woke up unable to breathe. I lost so much weight that it got to the point where I would die if I didn't do something.

"Thanks to selling raunchy pictures, I've not only been able to get private treatment for a rare condition but I've been able to afford a property.

"Things aren't perfect now but they're a world away from being in bed all day because it hurts to move.

"But OnlyFans gave me the opportunity to live a normal life. Now I want to try and give something back to people going through what I did, who felt like there was no point in carrying on.

"I didn't see a way out, but I'm proof that there is one."

Rachael was first admitted to hospital when she was nine years old due to the fact she was experiencing regular kidney infections.

She also felt pain in her throat while eating and experienced difficulty swallowing.

Rachael spent the next nine years of her life in hospital because no one could diagnose her "mystery" illness.

Her difficulty eating saw her weight plummet to just under four stone, and she was misdiagnosed with an eating disorder.

She continued: "It felt there was something permanently in my throat and it was incredibly painful to swallow.

"I was there for all of my teens – I spent Christmas and birthdays in hospitals.

"The fear of eating caused a fear of food and I was diagnosed with anorexia. I was referred to specialists all over the country and no could work out what was wrong."

Her health continued to decline over the years, and it had an impact on her everyday life.

She experienced severe exhaustion, joint pain and swelling in her face and tongue that would leave her unable to speak.

Rachael was rushed into hospital several times and had to carry around an epi-pen in case her condition was caused by an allergy.

Eventually she even lost her job as a legal executive at a law firm because of her undiagnosed condition.

Rachael said: "Some days I couldn't get out of bed. I constantly had painful blistering, and lost so much blood in my stool I needed a transfusion.

"I lost my job because I was constantly unwell and couldn't figure out why.

"I had absolutely no quality of life and I was in so much pain I thought I was going to die."

Rachael had done some modelling in the past and heard about the website called OnlyFans.

The site is a content subscription service that allows "fans" to buy creators content – including "raunchy" photos and videos.

Rachael set up a page in the hopes of making some extra money and couldn't believe the response she got.

"My niche is a cross between modelling and cosplay," she explained.

"I hand make a lot of my own costumes of video games and characters which get a huge following. The website has a reputation for being extremely scandalous in nature.

"However it's more than that – it's a community and a place to meet like-minded people."

Rachael started her page in 2019 and, since then, she's accumulated more than 400 followers to her OnlyFans page.

She makes on average £4,000 a month selling her photos, and is in the top three percent of creators on the site.

Thanks to the cash coming in she was able to pay for private treatment and get to the bottom of her illness with a formal diagnosis.

She was later diagnosed with pemphigus – a rare immunobullous autoimmune disease – which results in blistering and erosion of the skin.

Although she still experiences '"flare ups" she has been able to control her symptoms better with the correct treatment.

She is prescribed daily medications as well as going for regular blood tests and other appointments and check-ups.

On average this sets her back a whopping £1,500 every month but, thanks to her cheeky pictures and growing number of monthly subscribers, she doesn't have to deal with the issues that once prevented her from even leaving her home.

Rachael said: "I'm earning more than I could ever have dreamed of for a person in my position.

"And there has been huge positivity around the people who have supported me in exchange for the content.

"It's helped me recover mentally from some very dark places.

"People might say I'll regret sharing provocative pictures in later life but I say I'm grateful for living now.

"There is no way I have any regrets – the website and the fans saved my life.

"Now I'm getting the treatment I need, I feel like my life is just starting. 'm no longer just coasting – I'm present and I'm happy."
