A dad has sparked debate online after questioning how often you should wash your children’s pyjamas – with some insisting they should wear clean night clothes every night.
In a resurfaced Reddit thread, the man, who is believed to be from the UK, revealed his wife reckons they need to change their kid’s nightwear daily.
He said she insists the children wear ‘clean’ pjs every evening for bed – but he’s not convinced the night clothes need to be changed so frequently.
Other users were divided on the subject, with many agreeing with the unnamed mother that the nightwear should be changed daily.
Meanwhile others argued alternating the pjs on a weekly basis should be enough for youngsters.

‘My 8 year old mainly sleeps just in his boxers so can get 4-5 nights from them as he’s not as messy with breakfast and doesn’t actually sleep in them so there more for chilling in.’
Meanwhile other views were mixed, with some saying they put their children in fresh PJ’s weekly, while others said every two days.

One person said: ‘We go a week with the toddler. He’s still in a night time nappy so there’s no issue around getting his bottoms dirty at the mo.’
Another claimed: ‘I have a 7 year old and 3 year old. They each have 2 sets of pyjamas and wear them on alternate nights, each gets washed once a week.’
While someone else said: ‘If they are at the age where they don’t wet the bed then 2-3 night’s imo.’
