Paulina Porizkova has called out the online trolls who told her she ‘didn’t age gracefully’ and is ‘obsessed with her looks’ after she shared a lingerie photo of herself in celebration of her age.

The supermodel, 57, kicked off the week by posting a sultry snapshot of herself modeling an open red knit cardigan with a black bra, matching panties, and designer boots.

Her gray-streaked blonde hair is styled in loose waves around her shoulders, and she is laughing as she poses with her elbows resting on a fireplace in the Instagram snapshot.

‘Almost 58? Grandma, knitting, fireplace? Check, check, check, check!’ she wrote. ‘I’m the proud step-grandma of five. I’ve knitted the sweater I’m wearing — and yes, I’m standing by a fireplace. So this is what almost 58 looks like for me today.’

The next day, she posted a handful of the nasty messages she received from online trolls who accused her of seeking validation and objectifying herself

She added that her ‘killer boots’ from Tamara Mellon are ‘pricey but unbelievably comfortable with their special pillow-top insoles.’

Porizova, who has over one million followers, included the hashtags #betweenjloandbettywhite, #sexyhasnoexpirationdate, #grandma, #graypride,  #gettingbetterwithage, and #nofilter.

In just a few days, the empowering photo received nearly 80,000 likes and more than 4,000 comments, many of which were supportive.

However, there were also a number of critics who accused her of everything from promoting unrealistic beauty standards to looking older than she should.

Porizkova rounded up a handful of the negative messages and shared them in a follow-up post on Tuesday with the caption, ‘Some thoughtful readers’ comments.’

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum has maintained that she has never had plastic surgery, Botox, or fillers, but some criticized her for looking too good for her age and accused her of having cosmetic work done.

Others insisted that she ‘didn’t age gracefully’ and looks ‘way older’ than her age

‘Sure, that is what 58 looks like with lots of money, access to the best non-invasive treatments, fillers, Botox, lasers, red light therapy, collagen boosting treatments, trainers, personal chefs, notorious food, etc. I’m [what] 59 looks like without all that,’ one person wrote.

‘You need to top with the concede that you represent anything remotely like regular women. You are NOT representative of what 58 looks like for most of us so why don’t you sit down?’

Others attacked her appearance, claiming she wasn’t taking care of herself and looked older than she should at her age.

‘But you didn’t age gracefully You look way older than your age. Something that can be fixed easily not through plastic surgery but better grooming,’ someone else replied.

Another commenter accused her of ‘seeking external validation’ and setting a ‘bad example’ with her sexy posts, saying, ‘The self-objectification to prove just how well you’re aging proves how little pride you really have.

Porizkova responded to her critics in the caption, admitting that there is some truth to the claims that she is looking for validation and objectifying herself.

‘I post a barely clothed photo of myself, it gets a lot of attention, and then come the comments. Most of you are wonderfully supportive and understand what I’m trying to do in representing an older woman as still sexy and viable, and certainly not invisible,’ she wrote.

Earlier this week, Porizkova promoted her new memoir, No Filter: The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful, at the Long Island LitFest in New York

Christie Brinkley, 68, interviewed her at the event, and the supermodels were all smiles as they posed for pictures with her memoir

Porizkova wrote about her life, modeling career, and marriage to late rocker Rick Ocasek in the book of essays, which was published in November

‘Then there are the naysayers. This [of] course [is] when a conversation actually begins. Many of the unkind comments seem to focus on me needing validation — which is true in part, I do need to be noticed in order not to be invisible.

‘You also call me out for promoting the objectification of women. This is also partly true, I am working within set constraints thousands of years old. ‘

However, Porizkova explained that the comments that bother her the most are the ones from people who told her she does ‘not have the right’ to represent her age because she is ‘tall and slim’ and doesn’t ‘look like a typical woman’ in her late 50s.

‘I’m not trying to represent all women of my age. How could I? How could anyone? Don’t we all look different and isn’t that where our beauty lies? In our uniqueness?’ she asked.

‘What is truly sad here are the obvious insecurities of women who cannot find space to love themselves for who they are. For what their bodies can do. For what they can feel.

‘Instead, they will compare, feel wanting and ashamed for not measuring up, and turn around to shame those who made them feel this way. We can all only walk in our own bare feet, making our own unique imprints in the sand,’ she concluded.
