Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter, 34, looked picture perfect in a military jacket, thought to be a £350 garment from ME+EM, when attending the event alongside the Swedish ambassador Mikaela Kumlin Granit.

International Day of the Girl aims to focus attention on the need to address the challenges girls face and to promote their empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights.

The day was first launched 10 years ago, after the United Nations General Assembly declared October 11 as the International Day of the Girl Child, to recognise girls’ rights.

In pictures posted to Twitter by the ambassador, Beatrice appeared to be at the event today, run by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, alongside several schoolgirls as they marked the annual occasion.

The royal, who shares daughter Sienna, one, with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, opted for the statement military jacket, which she teamed with a navy shirt and black skirt.

Adding a touch of glamour to her ensemble, she donned a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, which she’s previously worn.

The outing comes after she attended the 8th annual Lady Garden Foundation Ladies Lunch at Langan’s Brasserie, in London, last month.

Beatrice was beaming in an understated black and green ensemble. She opted for a black coat with two large bows on the front, over the top of a dark green dress.

Beatrice looked enthusiastic at the lunch event, where she sported natural makeup with a dash of bronzer and mascara, a sculpted brow and a nude lip.

The Lady Garden Foundation is a national women’s health charity, raising awareness and funding for gynaecological health.

The royal was joined by Lady Garden co-founder Astrid Harbord, jewellery designer Josephine Daniel and socialite Tamara Beckwith at the event.

The Princess of York has supported the charity in the past by running for the organisation under the number ‘552’, at the 2017 Hyde Park event for The Lady Garden.

It marked her first public outing since attending Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
