Sam Smith is a fashion star.
The “Unholy” singer sat front row at rumored boyfriend Christian Cowan’s runway show during New York Fashion Week on Tuesday, one month after the duo sparked dating rumors.
Smith, who is non-binary and uses “they/them” pronouns, continued their streak of fiery fashion statements in a red-hot jumpsuit accessorized with matching gloves and platform heels and layered beneath a sparkling silver coat — all designed by Cowan, of course.
Also in attendance at the British-born designer’s show was Lil Nas X — clad in one of the new collection’s showgirl-inspired feather headdresses — as well as Teyana Taylor, Bella Thorne and Orville Peck.
But they clearly don’t care what the haters say; “I get closer to who I am with each album,” Smith told The Sunday Times in a recent interview, adding that their new album, “Gloria,” was inspired by the “feminine spirit in me.”
“I’m happier in my own skin on Gloria. I feel liberated, released from pressures I felt when I was young … I now have the opposite of body dysmorphia. I look fabulous.”
