‘We are answering the question today, does heat protection really work? I’m taking our neuro protect heat protectant and spraying it on credit card paper,’ the stylist said.
‘It obviously isn’t as porous as our hair so its saturating a little heavier, we have to air dry it a little bit.
‘I’m going to show you guys with our flat iron exactly how well heat protector does work. Use your heat protection ladies.’
‘We promise, it works!’ the stylist said.
‘Heat protectant is so important to ensure your strands stay in the best condition.’
Many TikTok users were shocked at the power of heat protection spray, and upset about the damage heat tools can cause.
‘I never used a hair protecting always thought it’s useless.’
‘My split ends are so bad right now from never using heat protectant and putting heat in my hair every single day.’
Other users doubted the method of using credit card paper to illustrate the power of heat protection, and argued the paper was still wet when the iron was used.
‘Now put water on the paper and do the same thing,’ one woman said.
‘Okay but let it dry all the way and also put on a normal amount, no one puts it on till their hair is wet. Just a light misting,’ another said.
