Tesco launch new Cola-flavoured ketchup – but customers are divided

BBQ season is well and truly in swing with all the nice weather we've been having.

But it's not all about burgers and hotdogs.

Sometimes the star of the show is what you add to boost the flavour of your food – like sauce.

Everyone has a favourite sauce – but it's fair to say most people like ketchup.

But it's about to get jazzy, as a new version is bringing it to tables as you've never seen it before.

This is because Tesco has launched a new flavour – cola ketchup.

Coming in at £1.60 the soda-flavoured goodness forms a part of the new Fire Pit range to help people turn their BBQs up a gear.

It may seem an unusual combination, but the new dining room table addition hopes to get taste buds tingling.

If you love ketchup and cola then it may be the perfect addition to your burger.

You may be intrigued, but so far customers have been left divided about the idea.

While some think it's a stroke of genius, others feel the flavour combination is simply a little too out there.

In the review section, one person wrote: "I love this ketchup, it reminds me of the limited edition Chicago town cola pizza which I loved years ago!

"The one star reviewer and good BBQ guests must have faulty taste buds, cus this ketchup is a winner."

Another added: "Disgusting! I purchased it for a BBQ I was hosting and everyone who tried it hated it."

On average it's tallied up a rating of three stars out of five so far, and many other Brits are sure to give it a whirl.

It may sound a bit wacky but – you have to admit – it does sound intriguing.

Fancy giving it a whirl? It's available in-store and online now.
