A wedding guest has experienced a backlash due to her choice of clothing for her friend’s big day.
An image, shared to the Reddit thread r/trashy – which has recently resurfaced online – shows a bridal party from the US, posing for a smiley photo – but one woman in particular stood out among the party of nine.
The image, captioned ‘When you just have to steal the spotlight’, shows a guest in a plunging navy dress alongside the bride, showing off her ample cleavage.
Some commenters were horrified, accusing the guest of taking all the attention, but other Redditors claimed those criticizing the woman were being misogynistic.

The bride sported a full length strappy white dress with flowers in her hair and the groom was wearing a black suit and with a blue satin tie.
But the person who received the most attention on the thread was the woman to the left of the bride.
She was wearing a sapphire blue lace dress which had a low-cut V neck.
One user commented: ‘She’s purposefully putting herself in front of the bride and hanging her boobs dead center.’
A second wrote: ‘The more you look, the worse it gets.’

However, some users were quick to defend the guest and said there’s nothing she can do about her natural body shape.
One user wrote: ‘She can’t help that she has larger breasts. The same dress on a woman with smaller breasts wouldn’t be considered her “trying to get attention”. People are so hyper critical of busty women it’s sad.’
Another echoed the same sentiments, and defended the woman, saying: ‘Yeah, she doesn’t really look like she’s actually trying to steal the spotlight.
‘It looks more like she had a few drinks (naturally, it’s a wedding) and wasn’t paying attention to how her pose would look to the camera. Also alcohol warms you up and so the titty exposure would likely have not been as noticeable to her.’
