Woody Harrelson reaffirmed the possibility that Matthew McConaughey could be his half-brother.

“I mean, it’s crazy,” the “Shock and Awe” star said on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” Tuesday, before recalling how McConaughey’s mother once opened up to them about her familiarity with Harrelson’s biological father during a trip out to Greece.

“I’ve known ‘Ma Mc’ a long time and she goes, ‘I knew your father …’ and it was the ellipsis that I found a little troubling — or interesting,” Harrelson explained.

When host Stephen Colbert asked, “How would you describe that pause?,” the “White House Plumbers” star replied, “Filled with innuendo.”

Colbert then joked that it was a “pregnant pause,” which is a grammatical term that means a break in a statement that “gives the impression that it will be followed by something significant.”

The audience burst into laughter and Harrelson continued to explain how it could logistically be that McConaughey’s mom, Mary Kathlene McCabe had a dalliance with his dad.

The “Hunger Games” actor explained that nine months before McCabe gave birth to McConaughey, she was on “sabbatical” from her relationship with the man the “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” star believes is his real dad, James Donald McConaughey.

Harrelson, 61, said he and Matthew, 53, have contemplated getting a DNA test done but there is a lot more trepidation on the “Dallas Buyer’s Club” star’s part.

“For him it’s a much more big deal, I mean, he feels like he’s losing a father [James], but I’m like, ‘No, you’re gaining a different father and a brother,’” Harrelson said.

Matthew previously confirmed on Kelly Ripa’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast that he has some hesitation about getting to the bottom of the truth.

“[Harrelson is] asking me to take a chance my dad may not be my dad after 53 years of believing it,” the actor said of his “True Detective” co-star. “I’ve got a little more skin in the game.”

However, Matthew recognized that there are already many signs pointing to the fact that he and Harrelson could really be siblings.

“You see pictures of us, and my family thinks a lot of pictures of him are me, and his family thinks a lot of pictures of me are him,” the “Fool’s Gold” star said.

He also added, “Then there are possible receipts of a place in West Texas where they might have been a gathering or meeting or a ‘knew’ moment.”
