Aaron Ramsdale 'handed Arsenal escape route' as Premier League rivals ready to offer January transfer | The Sun

WOLVES could move for Aaron Ramsdale in January.

Saudi clubs are hovering for Molineux No1 Jose Sa – and Arsenal keeper Ramsdale is hungry for more game time ahead of Euro 2024.

Now the Daily Star claim Wolves have put the England star top of their wanted list.

Ramsdale returned to the Gunners' side for Saturday's 1-0 Premier League win at Brentford.

But that was only due to summer recruit David Raya not being allowed to play against his parent club.

The suggestion is Wolves fancy a loan deal for Ramsdale with an agreement to buy him permanently in the summer.

That's because Molineux manager Gary O'Neil is reportedly willing to sell £40million-rated Sa.

O'Neil has a limited transfer budget to operate as Wolves sit in mid-table.

So he would be happy to accept a huge offer for Sa from wealthy Saudi admirers, which would also mean a massive pay rise for the Portugal ace.

Mikel Arteta has praised Ramsdale's attitude following Raya's emergence as clear first-choice for the Arsenal chief.

And Arteta as well as his players embraced the stopper after he overcome some shaky moments to keep a clean sheet at the weekend.

There have also been no murmurs of Ramsdale seeking an exit.

But the 25-year-old would love more regular regular action to help secure his place in Gareth Southgate's Three Lions squad at next summer's Euros.

So a departure of some sort in January can't be ruled out.
