Anthony Elanga lined up for Premier League switch with Man Utd open to transfer for winger | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED forward Anthony Elanga has received interest from Everton regarding a potential transfer, according to reports.

The Swedish attacker, 21, started just seven games for the Red Devils last season.

He made 16 appearances in the Premier League, registering no goals and just one assist.

And he appears to be some way down the pecking order in Erik ten Hag's squad – behind the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony, Anthony Martial, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho.

According to Foot Mercato, Everton are keen to sign the Sweden international this summer.

They had been interested in a loan deal for the forward in the January window.

But they are now expected to "ramp up their efforts" in a bid to seal a deal.

Elanga's contract with Man Utd runs until 2026.

However, his lack of game time could mean Ten Hag has little issue with him leaving the club.

Elanga is a product of United youth set-up, joining back in 2014.

He became a first-team regular towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign, contributing two goals and two assists during the second half of their Premier League campaign under Ralf Rangnick.

But he has now seen that momentum stall since the arrival of Ten Hag.

His only major trophy to date has been the Carabao Cup – which Man Utd won in February.

And it remains to be seen whether Elanga would be interested in a move to Everton – who were embroiled in a second successive relegation battle last season.
