Antoine Griezmann's tiny transfer release clause revealed as Premier League fans beg clubs to snap him up | The Sun

PREMIER LEAGUE football fans are calling for their clubs to sign Antoine Griezmann after his release clause was revealed.

The Frenchman, 32, re-joined Atletico Madrid on loan in 2021 and penned a permanent deal back in October after three years at Barcelona.

Griezmann, who contributed 16 goals and 19 assists last season, is now under contract with Diego Simeone's men until 2026.

He also enjoyed a superb World Cup with France – where they reached the final before losing to Argentina.

Yet despite his supreme 2022/23 campaign, L'Equipe are reporting the release clause in his Atletico contract is just £21million.

And supporters of English clubs were immediately calling on their sides to snap him up after hearing the news.

One fan said: "Arsenal could sign him…"

Another added: "Man Utd will sign him."

A third replied: "If we [Chelsea] didn't have Nkunku, I'd have said bring him in. He's not world class. He's elite level."

And a Liverpool supporter simply tagged his club in the tweet about Griezmann's price.
