Arsenal and Chelsea combined XI after transfer splurges ahead of Premier League rivals' pre-season clash | The Sun

ARSENAL and Chelsea have both spent heavily this summer.

And the London giants will likely be slugging it out for a top four finish next term.

But fans are set for an exciting taster this weekend when the rivals face each other in a pre-season friendly.

Arsenal and Chelsea will clash in Orlando for the Florida Cup in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Yet based on current squads, it’s the Blues who dominate a combined starting XI between the two sides.

A basic 4-3-3 system sees Edouard Mendy get the nod over Aaron Ramsdale in goal.

There are more Blues in midfield, with N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic a sure-fire duo.

However, Martin Odegaard’s creativity means he forces his way into the team ahead of Mason Mount.

And Arsenal are dominant up front, with new Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus and fan favourite Bukayo Saka making the XI.

Chelsea do have a glimmer of hope in attack though, as Raheem Sterling has finally given them a strong new cutting edge.

It now remains to be seen how the two sides fare in the Florida heat this weekend.

Arsenal have been rampant in pre-season, winning against Nurnberg, Everton and Orlando while scoring 10 goals in the process.
