MARCO ASENSIO is reportedly open to depart Real Madrid should he fail to be offered a higher salary – putting Arsenal on red alert.
The 26-year-old winger has just one year left on his contract at the Bernabeu with clubs keeping tabs on his situation.
Arsenal are believed to have contacted the Spaniard's representativesto find out whether he would be willing to depart.
And according to Marca, the three-time Champions League winner would be prepared to quit the club he has been at since 2015.
Though his first priority is to stay at Real, but is demanding a wage increase after his impressive 2021-22 season.
Only Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr scored more than Asensio's 12 goals, but despite his good form, he ranked just 15th in Los Blancos' ranking of minutes played.

Asensio, who has recently hired Jorge Mendes as his agent, is aware he needs to be playing regularly if he wishes to secure a spot in Luis Enrique's World Cup spot.
Should he decide to leave Real this summer, the LaLiga champions would be seeking a fee in the region of £34million.
The Spanish news outlet state that Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of the player, and would be willing to negotiate for Asensio should he become available.
Meanwhile it has also been claimed that Italian giants AC Milan are also keen to secure his services, along with Juventus.

Discussing his future, Asensio recently said: "I am looking for regularity.
"I want it for the next few years because for me that confidence is important.
"I think it is possible to have that regularity in Madrid."
Before adding: "We will see what I will do with my future.
"Renew or leave Real Madrid? I think there are three possibilities, there is also the option to stay and fulfil my contract year."
