BRUNO FERNANDES has rejected multiple transfer offers from Saudi Arabia, reports suggest.
It comes with Fernandes expected to be named the new captain of Manchester United.
Fernandes was handed the armband whenever Harry Maguire was not playing last season.
But with the Englishman revealing he had been stripped of the armband by Erik ten Hag, playmaker Fernandes is now expected to officially be named captain.
And his dedication to the Red Devils has been made abundantly clear after transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed the 28-year-old had turned down "more than two approaches from Saudi one month ago".
Such a switch would have likely meant a mega pay-day for the midfielder.

While the Portuguese is being backed to be named the new Red Devils' skipper, he faces some competition for the captaincy role from team-mates.
Among those tipped to take up the mantle are serial winners Casemiro and Raphael Varane, while feisty Lisandro Martinez and talisman Marcus Rashford are also in the debate.
Fernandes joined United for £55million in 2020.
He netted eight league goals and added eight assists in the league last season.

SunSport understands Maguire was left "angry, shocked and upset" when Ten Hag informed him of the change at the training ground on Sunday.
He has joined a undesirable list of six other captains who were also stripped of the armband.

However, the Irons have seen a loan bid for the England international REJECTED by United.
