Arsenal prioritise Bukayo Saka contract extension this summer after months of talks amid transfer interest | The Sun

ARSENAL are keen to tie down Bukayo Saka this summer with the Prem's top two tracking the England star.

Champions Manchester City and perennial title-rivals Liverpool are both keen on the precocious 20-year-old winger.

Saka has two years left on his deal at the Emirates.

He signed an extension in 2020 which expires in 2024, meaning the Gunners could lose him at a knock-down price next summer.

Now Arsenal news service @afcstuff, via transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, say the London giants are trying hard to avoid that scenario.

They tweeted: "Arsenal have been in talks with Bukayo Saka's camp over a contract extension since February.

"Despite top English clubs monitoring the situation, Saka's priority is to stay at Arsenal, he loves the club."

The Hale End Academy product's reported commitment to the Arsenal cause will be welcome news for Gunners fans after his rise to prominence in recent years.

The 18-cap star is likely to be a key man for the Three Lions at this winter's World Cup.

And last month it was reported City and the Reds were keen to see if they could lure him away with the chance to play Champions League football and regularly challenge for top honours.
