Whole new Bal game
Fulham are reportedly considering a swoop for Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun as a potential replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The 22-year-old scored 21 goals for Stade Reims in Ligue 1 during a loan spell that also saw him earn a first call-up from the USA after switching his international allegiance from England.
His remarkable season, which came after just two Premier League appearances for Arsenal and an underwhelming time on loan to Middlesbrough in the Championship the previous campaign, sparked huge interest in him.
But the striker has announced that he is open to leaving the Emirates this summer as he feels he has proved he can play at the top level.
We reported yesterday how AS Monaco have had a £34m bid rejected by Arsenal, who allegedly value the hotshot nearer to £50m.
The youngster also has plenty of admirers in the Premier League – including West Ham and even Tottenham.

The Netherlands international will go under the knife in the coming days.
A club statement read: “Further to detailed assessments with consultant specialists since Saturday, we can confirm that Jurrien Timber has sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
“Jurrien will undergo surgery in the coming days and will be out of action for a period of time.
“The support and expertise from our medical team and everyone at the club will now be focussed on Jurrien’s rehabilitation programme, to ensure he recovers well and is back playing as soon as possible.
“No return date has been set at this stage.”

Gunners reject Balogun offer
As Monaco have had their £34million bid rejected for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun, according to reports.
According to RMC Sport, the Gunners value the 22-year-old much higher and appear to have ended the Ligue 1 club's interest in the forward.
Monaco had been keen on the youngster after he scored 21 Ligue 1 goals for Stade Reims while on loan last season.
Balogun's performances also earned him a first call-up from the USA after switching his international allegiance from England.
But, Arsenal have slapped a £50m price tag on his head, according to CBS Sport.
The hefty valuation turned Monaco's heads towards alternative option Karl Toko-Ekambi, who plays for Lyon.

Merson praise for Nketiah
Paul Merson has hailed Eddie Nketiah's commitment to Arsenal and claimed that he will never let the club down.
Eddie Nketiah never lets Arsenal down which is a big thing.
He’s one you bring in for three or four games and then take him out again.
I expect Arsenal to challenge Man City for the league but if they don’t perform they won’t even be in the top four.
That’s how hard this league is. There are no gimmies.

Raya warning to Ramsdale
New Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has warned Aaron Ramsdale he hasn’t moved to the Emirates just to sit on the bench.
The Spaniard said: “I can’t wait to be out there training with the lads and getting that GK union going.
“That’s a tight group that we’re always going to get along and push each other, so that’s going to be a healthy group in my opinion.
“I just can’t wait to get going and meet the lads.
“One of the challenges is to get used to the style and the patterns, and get to know the players as soon as possible to get that bond from the beginning.
“Knowing the players and the staff, I think they’re going to put me in the right direction and I’ll fit in straight away.”

“I enjoyed playing further up the pitch and I think that’s why I’m comfortable on the ball.
“Next to my house, there were always young guys playing on the futsal pitch. I always played outfield in those games.”
