    Ramsdale tips Gunners for trophies

Aaron Ramsdale believes Arsenal can become serial winners now they are buying players who can put their medals on the table.

The England stopper said: “The club have been wanting hungry young players who are willing to develop and learn.

“But this year they are bringing in players who fit into that plan but who have also won titles. And that’s invaluable.

“When you have a young team you need a few players who know how to win through the whole season.

“Those we’re bringing in are from the same mould as last year, so there is a clear plan in place — that’s very exciting.”

Arsenal need to sell before Tielemans

According to reports, Arsenal need to shift some of their deadwood before they can bid for Youri Tielemans.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Leicester City midfielder.

However, with a bloated squad – and players including Hector Bellerin, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Lucas Torreira, Pablo Mari and more still to shift, they will need to raise some funds before making more purchases.

Goal say the North London side are yet to make a bid for the Belgium star and only will once they've sold a few players.

Arsenal have found out how much it will cost to sign target Lucas Paqueta from Lyon,

The Gunners have been chasing the Brazilian midfielder – with the French club's president Jean-Michel Aulas revealing they had received some proposals for him.

Now, reliable reporter Fabrizio Romano has revealed in an interview with GiveMeSport what the Ligue 1 giants want for their talisman.

"So, at the moment, there is still no bid from Arsenal for Paqueta," Romano said.

“What I’m told is that Lyon want around €65 million with some add-ons included. So, the fixed fee could be lower, but they want to arrive at this potential package for Paqueta.”

    Zinchenko shirt number revealed

Oleksandr Zinchenko shirt number at Arsenal was leaked on the club website before its official announcement.

The versatile Ukrainian joined the Gunners yesterday in a £32million deal from Manchester City.

Arsenal did not immediately confirm Zinchenko's squad number but his favoured No11 and No17 are both taken.

Gabriel Martinelli has recently been unveiled as No11 after switching from No35, while No17 is currently occupied by Cedric Soares.

And it's Martinelli's old No35 that Zinchenko has gone with.

A blunder on the club's official shop website – Arsenal Direct – showed Zinchenko as the club No35.

    Arteta's 'impressed' by the Kroenkes

Mikel Arteta has revealed he has been 'impressed' by the shared vision the KSE group has for Arsenal.

"I've been really impressed," Arteta said of the Kroenkes.

"They were here for two days, we had a lot time to sit down in a really relaxed way: talk about football, the sport in general.

"The vision they have, the commitment and level of understanding of the sport in general is fascinating. I can tell you: I have never seen ownership at that level so committed, close and engaged to bring this club where we want."

KSE were under pressure from supporters, who perceived them as disinterested. But Arteta believes that perception has now changed.

Arteta said: "I think before, we could have a perception of what they were.

"I think it's completely changed, I think that's been shown with facts and acts. Their presence here as well. Something is to be here and something is to be here the way they were. I guarantee you: they are fully committed, engaged and really looking forward to taking this club to the top."

Arsenal director Edu has been talking about transfers – alluding that the Gunners' business isn't done just yet.

He revealed: "I’m pleased, but to say how close is difficult because there’s still a lot to do, we are in the middle of the transfer window and things can happen.

"What we have to be is really focused and be prepared for every single situation, opportunities maybe can happen, clubs can sometimes come to us to see if there is a possibility to get players on loan or buy players.

"We just have to be prepared and I think we are very much prepared for almost everything."

Balogun sized up by French side

Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is reportedly being eyed up by French side Reims.

Now he has returned to Arsenal, but with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira coming into the squad, opportunities in the attacking third appear few and far between.

And according to L'Equipe, he is now being lined up as a replacement for Hugo Ekitike at Reims.

Ekitike joined the French champions earlier this summer for £30million after netting 11 times in 26 games last season.

Now Reims have made a shortlist of strikers who could fill his shoes – with Balogun thought to be one of them.

    Arteta gets top four warning

Mikel Arteta will lose his job if he Arsenal don't make the Champions League, according to Tony Cascarino.

He told talkSPORT: "If Arsenal don’t make it, Arteta will lose his job.

“I think he’s done everything he can to make his team as competitive as possible, but you now have to make the top four.

“Unless they only narrowly miss out… but it would have to be the smallest margins or a dramatic end [to save him].

“Performances week-in, week-out will also count, because that will affect the feeling at the club.

“I went to a couple of games at the Emirates at the end of the season, and it was rocking. People called it a library, but it was rocking at the end of the season.

“But if they don’t make the top four Arteta will be gone – that’s what happens.”

    Saka offered new contract

Arsenal have reportedly offered Bukayo Saka a £150,000-a-week contract that would see him more than DOUBLE his money.

The Gunners are desperate to fend off interest from Manchester City and are keen to secure their talent on a long-term deal.

Saka, 20, has rapidly grown into one of Arsenal's best players and his consistently high-level performances have not gone unnoticed.

The Mail report the club are now prepared to make him one of the best paid players in a signal of how important he is.

The England international only has two years left on his deal and his wages of £70,000-a-week is dwarfed by several players across the league.

If he were to double his money, it would see him among the club's highest-paid players.

    Tielemans makes Arsenal move priority

Arsenal target Youri Tielemans is desperate to join the Gunners, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano said: "It is his priority. I would say it’s a clear choice because the player would love to move, he would love to join Arsenal, but it’s up to Arsenal to submit a proposal and go strong for him.

"He’s waiting for Arsenal since April, since May. This is when the contact started – it was the end of April, beginning of May.

"They are still there, they are discussing but still no official bid, just approaches and contacts. It’s up to them now to decide if they want to go for Tielemans as a priority after signing Zinchenko, or if they want to go for different positions.

"Because the player is out of contract next summer, Arsenal know it’s a big opportunity on the market having a player like Tielemans available like this."

Reuell Walters was bamboozled as Odegaard, 23, executed the silkiest of skills.

With the ball on his left foot, the play maker turned 180 degrees with a flashy flick of his right toe to nudge the ball and create space between him and the defender.

The control and the body contortion required for the turn was made to look effortless by Odegaard.

The defender has also attracted the attention of Jose Mourinho at Roma and is also believed to have held talks with Atletico Madrid about a transfer, which means his time could soon be up in north London.
