Beth Tweddle takes front and centre of BBC'S Commonwealth Games coverage and viewers are all saying the same thing | The Sun

COMMONWEALTH GAMES viewers were all saying the same thing after seeing Beth Tweddle take centre stage of the BBC's coverage.

The retired gymnast returned to our screens on Tuesday for Day Five of the Games, which are taking place in Birmingham.



And the 37-year-old's stellar punditry drew high praise from Tuesday's watchers of the Games.

One BBC viewer tweeted: "Great games coverage, superb punditry from many, Becky Adlington, Mark Foster but Beth Tweddle is outstanding.

"Clear, concise, insightful, knowledgeable. Absolutely superb."

Another said: "Beth Tweddle is providing amazing punditry."

And in response to a tweet about the former Team GB star, one viewer tweeted: "That's World Floor Exercise Champion Beth Tweddle to you."

Tweddle retired from competitive gymnastics in the summer of 2013 after 12 years of competing professionally.

She called time on her career having won three World Championship gold medals and six at the European Championships.

The South African-born Brit claimed a solitary Commonwealth Games gold twenty years ago as a 17-year-old.

Tweddle, however, was unable to replicate her World and European Championships form at the Olympics.

But she did claim a bronze medal at London 2012 in front of her loved ones.

Tweddle has spent her retirement doing punditry work and appearing on several TV shows.

In 2013, she won season eight of Dancing on Ice along with three-time winner Daniel Whiston.
