Carragher brilliantly lip-reads himself as Sky Sports show old footage of him fuming after Lampard scores against him | The Sun

JAMIE CARRAGHER left fans in stitches after watching highlights from an old Chelsea versus Liverpool match.

The Liverpool legend was appearing on Monday Night Football with Frank Lampard and David Jones when a clip of the two icons playing against each other was shown.


Carragher, 45, was attempting to block a shot from Lampard but instead the ball deflected over the Liverpool goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

Former Reds defender Carragher said: "This isn't another Frank Lampard deflected goal is it? I spotted the run!"

Footage then cut to him after the goal as he mouthed "Jammy B*****d!", leaving the studio in stitches.

Carragher then added: "I've never known a player, him and Joe Cole, get more deflected goal sin my life."

Jones then cheekily joked "something about a bar stool" in reference to Carragher's X-rated reaction to the goal.

Fans took to social media to react, with one person tweeting: "Another deflected goal 😂."

Another added: "Reckon half his goals were deflected!! 😂"

Carragher, Lampard and Jones were all on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football to cover Fulham's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

The Blues won the match 2-0 thanks to goals from Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match Mauricio Pochettino said: "It's important for us to build our confidence and trust in ourselves. The performance was very good, I'm so happy for the players and in the end we got what we deserved."
