Chelsea fans try to tempt Rafael Leao with Wetherspoons and Greggs after AC Milan star slams London restaurants | The Sun

CHELSEA fans are trying to tempt Rafael Leao to England with the offer of Wetherspoons meals and grub from Greggs.

That’s after the AC Milan star slammed London restaurants — as well as the capital’s shops, clubs and weather.

Leao, 23, has been enjoying one of his best seasons in Italy with eight goals and six assists in 23 games.

The Portugal international was strongly linked with a January move to Chelsea after coming up against them twice in the Champions League.

But Todd Boehly instead opted to spend £89million on Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk.

The chances of Leao now moving to Stamford Bridge appear slim.

And the forward himself looks to have ruled out a future deal after slamming London life, including the food options.

He told A Bola: “I don’t like the weather there. I went shopping the first time I went to London.

“In Milan I like the Duomo, shopping malls, nightclubs and the food.”

But cheeky Chelsea fans suggested Leao clearly hadn’t tried the right places for his meals, with the ace likely to have missed out on the culinary delights of Wetherspoons and Greggs.

One said: “He’s clearly never been to a Wetherspoons.”

Another declared: “You know when a person has never been to Gregg’s before.”

One added: “Clearly never had a chicken bake before.”

However, other fans were concerned Leao was talking about nightclubs so early into his promising career.

One said: “Gonna be a wasted talent.”

Another added: “Just shows the mentality of youngsters in today’s game.”

And others simply believe Leao is pampered in Milan.

One said: “Cares more about food and the weather than his career, OK cool.”

One added: “Just a timely reminder of the soft, pampered individuals who play the game at the moment.”
